JORDAN
To say there was a rouge attack would be an understatement. Rouges are alone and sometimes they might form a small group, no more than five. Ten were attacking us now. Ruling out that they were rouges. They were a strong pack. And we could all tell that most weren't even here at the moment.
When Tris ran into the fight in her chocolate brown wolf form I smiled. Because right behind her was our all great and powerful alpha. HIs wolf, like mine was golden. We also both had blue eyes but very different in color. His being a dark blue and mine being a beautiful aqua color. To say that I didn't like the alpha would be true. I didn't like him at all. Because of what he did to Tris. Even if they made up I might come to like him, but respect? No, I would never respect him the way I should as him being my alpha. Truth be told I didn't belong here.
Your wolf is restless till it finds it's mate. My mate wasn't in this pack. I never felt right or a sense of belonging in this pack. I felt like, how I suspect, Tris felt living in her father's pack. Alone and abandoned. Tris had always been the lucky one though. She found her mate the day after her change. After my change all the male werewolves came sniffing around. Truth be told Conner had wanted me as his mate when I turned. They all did. Our human side might feel attracted to certain looks, not that I was ugly, but our wolf sides were attracted to power. I had always been powerful. Tris was the most powerful she-wolf in her father's pack but here it was me. It had been ever since my change. They all knew I would be strong. Even my human side, before I turned sixteen, was unbelievably strong.
I heard a whimper and knew it was Tris's and growled as the wolf that was biting into her hind leg. I jumped on the creature, scratching and biting. When that wolf was taken care of I turned to see Conner accessing the damage done to his mate. It appeared to be a minimum amount. He gave me a nod of gratitude and I couldn't keep the wolfish smile that appeared on my face. A red wolf was coming up behind Conner and though I didn't feel like I belonged he was my alpha as of late and I would gladly die for him. I took loyalty seriously.
Tris
A smile appeared on Jordan's wolf face. She was a strange one. She relished in fighting. Suddenly her smile slipped and growling she jumped for Conner. At first it seemed as if she was going for him! My big head swerved to see her intercept a wolf that was attacking Conner from behind. That was a close call! She took down the red she-wolf easily and looked around. The pack that had attacked us had lost three members. Two at the jaw and paws of Jordan. The remaining wolves from the intruding pack slowly retreated while biting, snapping, and growling. The loudest growl came from Jordan as she advanced on them. She somewhat smirked as they backed up faster, before turning quickly and running. Jordan was the first to change back. Because in theory we didn't change back till we were safely at the alpha's house. I rolled my eyes because she was wearing shorts and a sports bra. She must have been excising.
"Yeah, you better run! Chicken shit!" Conner barked at her and rolling her eyes she changed back to her wolf form. She howled loudly at our victory and we eventually all joined in. Then we raced back to the Conner's. There were twenty of us in totally, we lost no wolves tonight.
"They have called war on us! We will fight back! I know most of us have school so we will work around that to train!" Conner's voice filled the still and silent room of the meeting. All of the pack member's sixteen and older were here. We all nodded to him and then he dismissed us.
"Tris! Wait!" I smiled and people stared as Conner, the alpha, ran over to catch up with me.
"Yes?"
"I just...um...I just wanted to know if you're going to Jordan's party. I mean of course you're going because you're her best friend I meant will you uh go with me." His right hand had reached up to rub the back of his neck nervously when his speech began.
I acted like I was thinking about it. Loving the way he squirmed. Putting a hand up to my chin and trying to hold back a smile I finally answered him.
"Okay." He looked truly surprised by my response.
"Okay?"
"'Maybe okay will be our always."' I quoted from one of my favorite books, The Fault in Our Stars. "Yes, now close your mouth or a fly will fly into it." I chuckled and walked off before he could reply.
Looking back one last time to throw him a smile and wink.
