I stood in front of the door to the basement sword in hand, Shadow was sat next me grooming herself. I gulped down all my fear and opened the door entering the room,
"Lukas can you hear me..." I whispered as I walked around the bookshelves trying to find the blonde, I heard Shadow meow I looked at her she was using her paw to point towards a chest,
"Lukas are you in there" I whisper-shouted, I saw the chest open and inside was Lukas, I felt tears of joy fall down my cheeks as I saw his sapphire eyes poke through the gap in the chest. I signalled him to come over but he quickly closed the chest, "Lukas?" Suddenly I was hit by an Iron Golem's fist and fell unconscious, I was woken up by tears from another person falling on my face. I opened my eyes to see Lukas sitting above me with tears falling from his eyes,
"I-I thought you were gone" He choked between sobs, I smiled, and then hugged him. I then realised we weren't in the basement we were in the chest he was hiding in, Shadow was sat on my lap grooming herself once again. I sat up and opened the chest a little to see the Iron golem patrolling the area,
"Welp looks like we aren't going anywhere anytime soon" I explained. Lukas just hugged me once again, he must have been worried since when I looked at the clock it had been ten minutes since I got knocked out.
"If you died I would've never forgiven myself, I wrapped my arms around him and hugged him back,
"It's fine Lukas, I'm fine... Now we just need to find a way out of here" I explained looking around the room for anything that could be used as a diversion. Lukas looked like he was thinking about how to get out of this situation, I pulled out my sword,
"I'll go in swinging" I whispered, Lukas didn't look impressed,
"Don't take this the wrong way but please don't do that" He replied, I put my sword away. There was nothing we had that would help us everything looked helpless, then I came up with an idea to get us out of here.
"How about every time the iron golem isn't looking we place down a block and eventually make a wall so it can't see us escape?" I suggested, Lukas smiled at me,
"Great idea now we just need to see if we have enough" I opened the chest slightly so I could see how far the gap from the chest to the closest bookshelf, I did the math and then closed the chest again,
"We need about twenty four blocks it doesn't matter if they are the same block or a different block, just as long as we have enough" Lukas nodded and brought out about thirteen blocks I brought out the other eleven. I waited until the Iron Golem passed the chest then I opened the chest and placed the block quickly. After we finished the wall I opened the chest slowly and climbed out, I helped Lukas out and then picked Shadow up we ran to the exit of the basement. When we reached the top we saw that the rest of our group were talking to Gabriel,
"What do you want me to do tell you charade style?" Axel asked trying to convince Gabriel,
"I assure you thats the last thing I want you to do!" Gabriel replied. Me and Lukas walked up to our group and looked at the warrior on the stage,
"WHY WON'T YOU BELIEVE US!?!" I shouted at him, everyone gasped. Suddenly a voice came from the audience,
"Excuse me I have a question?" the man asked, I recognised the voice but I didn't know where from, Gabriel looked sceptical about this person.
"You'll have to wait your turn like everyone else" He said sternly, I started to feel scared so I held onto Lukas' arm,
"Just one question... Do you really think anyone can be a hero?" the man questioned, Gabriel raised an eyebrow,
"With the right time and effort yes" Gabriel replied, squeezed Lukas' arm, he wrapped his arm around me.
"So that's where I went wrong I simply didn't work hard enough!?!" The man stepped into the light so I could now plainly see it was Ivor, I shook Lukas and then pointed at him,
"I seem time has made you bitter" Gabriel said irritated. Ivor walked right up into Gabriel's face,
"And it's made you an even bigger fool" Ivor explained, he then pulled a lever on the stage causing the monument from earlier to rise up onto the stage,
"SOMEBODY STOP HIM!" Jesse shouted. Ivor pulled another wither skull out of his cloak,
"Nothing built can last forever Gabriel!" He shouted as he placed the final skull on the monument, there was a bright and loud explosion momentarily blinding everyone in the room.
