Chapter 10: Mission For Magnus

When I opened my eyes everyone was surrounding me they all had worried expressions, I sat up and got hugged by Lukas,

"You've been falling unconscious ever since the Wither was unleashed what's up with that?" Jesse asked. I couldn't answer I had lost my ability to talk, I stood up and grabbed my book out and wrote 'I think I've lost my voice I'll write in my book for now' I showed it to my group and they agreed. Jesse and Olivia got ready to set off, they grabbed some food, drink and some blocks just in case they needed to do some building,

"See ya Jess!" Lukas shouted as he waved them off, I just waved and then turned around to see the place we had to fortify in the next twenty four hours. I smiled as I pulled out a piston, I wrote something down on the piece of paper,

'Lets get to work' Lukas nodded and pulled out a redstone block. I ran tot he entrance and made a piston door, it was really fun to test my creations and check if they worked probably,

"How you doing?" I heard Axel say as he walked towards me, I smiled and then pulled out the piece of paper,

'Fine, you?' He smiled back at me and then looked at my work,

"I'm good, good job on the piston door" I was happy to hear that Axel had calmed down after the events the previous day. "I know that you said we weren't friends but could we be friends?" He asked, I nodded,

"Hey guys!" I heard Lukas coming our way, I smiled again when Lukas walked around the corner, he looked at my work and then hugged me, "Good job" I smiled,

"Thanks... wait I can talk YAY!!!" I shouted. Axel and Lukas smiled at me, I grabbed them both into a hug, I looked at Shadow who was walking around the temple,

"Well lets move onto the next part of the temple" Lukas suggested as we walked up to where we had found the map, I started to build an automated arrow system just like the own that was previously down stairs but had been removed. I placed down the dispensers then wired them up with some redstone dust, I loved the feeling of redstone dust flowing through my fingers. I made the circuit and then stepped back to admire my work,

"You are a really good engineer" Lukas complimented, I blushed slightly but pushed it back since it still wasn't functioning properly. Axel turned around to us,

"Um... Guys I think I might go recruit Magnus myself" He explained, I agreed with him since we needed as much help as we could get from anyone. Lukas was a bit sketchy about spreading ourselves thin but after some bribery he agreed. We waved Axel off then got back to work, I walked over to Axel's unfinished contraption,

"Wow... This is a mess" I sighed as I pulled out some redstone and started to work on the redstone, I could kind of see what he was trying to build but I put my own swing on it. I finished it and looked at the trapdoor I tested it out by throwing a piece of wheat on the pressure plate, it got pushed forward and into a pit. I walked over to Lukas who looked a bit confused,

"Need help?" I asked, he turned to me and nodded I walked beside him and looked at his build, "Don't take this the wrong way but what is it?"

"It's a pit fall trap" He explained. I came up with an idea on how to improve it. Lukas placed down the pistons while I disguised the hole. After we finished I stepped back and admired all of our fortifications,

"We did good right?" I asked looking at our builds as Lukas walked beside me and hugged me, he looked at them and then back at me with a warm smile,

"Yeah we did" He replied. I looked at Shadow who was roaming around Lukas' legs I knelt down next to her and picked her up,

"You like Lukas don't you?" I chirped as I stroked Shadow and held her in front of Lukas, "Wanna hold her?" I asked. He smiled as I laid her down in his arms, Shadow started to purr as Lukas stroked her back,

"She's so calm isn't she?" Lukas said as he placed her back down onto the ground. Suddenly we heard a noise from the door, I pulled out my sword and Lukas did the same as we closed in on the door. I kept Shadow away since I didn't want her getting hurt by whatever was trying to get inside, I switched a lever which slowed down the cycle of the opening and closing and then as soon as we were right in front of it I turned it off. And then saw him.
