Chapter 1: Preparing for the Competition

Y/N's P.O.V:

I was in the tree house sat on the bed reading a book that I had borrowed from Jesse while listening to music through my headphones, I could faintly hear Olivia and Jesse talking about tactics for the the building competition so I removed my headphones.

"Would you rather fight 100 chicken-sized zombies or 10 zombie-sized chickens?" Olivia asked, looking at Me and then at Jesse,

"10 zombie-sized chickens" I was quick to respond. Jesse chuckled and then but her wooden sword back in her inventory, Olivia walked over to the redstone she was previously working on,

"I got a daylight sensor on the roof, and if I got this right these lamps should turn on once it gets dark, I didn't want to leave Reuben here with nothing while we are at the competition" She explained, Jesse turned to her with shock on her face,

"He's coming with us" Jesse said, Olivia looked at the piglet and so did I,

"Really?!?" Olivia asked shocked, she looked at Reuben then Jesse then Me, "Y/N do you wanna have any input here?" She asked politely. I got up from my book and laid it down on the bed,

"Jesse I have to agree with Olivia here, it makes us look like amateurs" I explained to my sisters disappointment,

"That's unfair since you get to bring your cat!" She added pointing at my pet cat Shadow who was currently roaming around my legs,

" Yeah but he just follows me it's not like I want him to come!" I argued back, She didn't give up and eventually managed to convince us for him to come. Suddenly I heard some hissing emitting from the trapdoor,

"Oh no" Olivia said backing away from the hissing noises, then someone jumped out of the trapdoor who I quickly recognised as Axel. I watched as Reuben head butted him in the legs he started to whine about us being friends,

"I've never been your friend Axel, the only reason I hang out with you is because your friends with Jesse" I explained, Axel looked hurt by this but I didn't really care, I picked up my book and put it into my inventory. I then walked over to the trapdoor,

"I'll meet you guys down here" I explained as I started to climb down the ladder, I was quickly followed by Axel and Olivia who were talking while we waited for Jesse I on the other hand was dancing. I fell back into someone's leg

"Watch it loser!" The person said as they punched me in the eye, I quickly identified this voice at Aiden, I held my eye in pain and yelled out for someone to help. I quickly heard someone shout at Aiden,

"JUST BECAUSE THEY'RE ON A DIFFERENT TEAM DOESN'T MEAN YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO HURT THEM!!!" The boy shouted, I quickly identified this voice as Lukas, the leader of the ocelots. Lukas walked over to me and helped me up, "I'll be right back guys I'm just taking Y/N back to Jesse." Lukas wrapped his jacket around me and took me to Jesse,

"OMG Y/N WHAT HAPPENED!?!" She shouted as she came running to me. Lukas removed his jacket off me and walked away, I smiled at him as he walked back to where the Ocelots were. I looked at Jesse and the rest who were panicking, Olivia walked over to me and poked me with the end of her sword. I started to weep,

"Y-Y/N! You aren't producing tears in your right eye" She explained. I gulped down my sadness and calmed down.

"It's fine!" I explained as we started to walk, Jesse then came up with an idea for our build at the Ender-Con building competition,

"We don't build something functional, we build something fun!" She suggested, I agreed with her idea, I then thought of what we could build in front of it,

"How about we build an Enderman? I mean it would go with the name ender-con right?" I asked, Olivia and Jesse agreed with me but Axel wanted to build a Creeper.

"Let's prepare!" I said as we ran to different spot's in the woods collecting equipment we would need for our build, I was in the middle of mining a tree when I heard a familiar voice it sounded like Lukas. I put my axe away and spied from behind a tree, I was right it was Lukas,

"Ugh! I can't believe I left my axe at home!" He groaned, I felt pity for him even if we were on different teams we were allowed to share equipment right? I walked round the tree I was previously hiding behind and walked over to him,

"Hi Lukas" I greeted as he looked up to see me, he smiled back at me but then stopped, "What's the matter?" I asked as I walked over to him and gave him my spare axe.

"Well I'm just really sorry for what happened with Aiden" He apologised, I shook my head at him he looked surprised at my response,

"Don't apologise Lukas, after all you were the one who saved me" I explained. He hugged me and I was glad he couldn't see my face since it was burning crimson red,

"See ya later" I said as I walked back to my team,

"Bye" Lukas replied. I had no idea why I had blushed when he hugged me though, that was the least of my worries though so I ran back to my group.
