Emilia rummaged through the stack of papers in a hurry as her heart thumped against her ribcage. She was neatly dressed in a peach dress and gucci heels with her hair slightly blow dried. "Thank god," she exclaimed as she found her resumè and waved goodbye to her apartment. Behind the steering wheel with sweaty hands, Emilia gave herself "the pep talk" she gave to herself before every single job interview.
The tall glass building smiled at her as she was welcomed by a smilijg assistant.
"The CEO will see you for the job interview in five minutes," the tall blonde lady politely told Emilia.
Emilia stared at her dream workplace sighing at all the workers for about ten minutes until she was called to the CEO.
Behind the rich mahagony table lied a familiar face. Except it wasn't fat and it wasn't the shy boy who had a crush on her since sixth grade and she had always bullied him with her boyfriend. It was a men with perfect hair and deep blue eyes that will make you swoon in delight.
"Karma," Emilia whispered as her mischievous past came crashing down on her.
