Well it's just another normal day for me. I'm just sitting around staring at the ceiling completely and utterly bored.

I sighed: "Galena I'm so bored."

My friend came walking out of our little apartment kitchen and plopped herself down on the couch opposite of me:"Sorry can't help you with that. Besides you're always bored."

Shrugging my shoulders:"Point, but..." I turn my head towards the door. We both could hear a fair amount of ruckus from the stairwell. "I think it's about to get interesting."

Heavy feet stumble down the hallway, stopping just outside our door. Whoever was on the other side kicked the door open, breaking the lock in the process.

A man walked in his arm around the waist of another guy to support him. Neither one of them look to be in very good shape.

The man that kicked the door open spoke rather forceful: "You! Help him!"

Neither Galena or I moved nor made any recognition that they were standing there. This seemed to tick him off a bit, because he glanced down as his reached for a holstered 45, but the second his eyes had looked away from us i jumped up, drawing my own weapon and kicked his legs out from under him. I shoved a knee to his chest and my gun to his head.

He looked surprised that i had managed to take him down and had a 36 caliber pressed to his forehead.

: "You seem new to this, so let me explain something. You want to visit our nice little home, you knock. You want my friend here to help your buddy and not 'accidentally' kill him, you ask politely. Do you get what i'm saying?"

He grudgingly nodded, so i backed off him lowering my gun, but kept it out until he spoke "Sorry about the door, but would you please help him?"

During the scuffle between us he had let go of his friend who was now starting to come to. Galena got up and stretched before walking the few steps it took to get a better look at the injured man.

Galena sighed sitting down on her knees and lightly slapped the mans face a couple times: "Chuck. Hey Chuck. Come on now. Wake up."

Chuck slowly blinked, before he flinched and grabbed at his left side.

Galena: "What did you do now?"

Chuck smiled: "Do you want the whole story or just the sum of the damage?"

Galena: "Just the damage. You would only exaggerate it."

Chuck laughed: "I probably would, but you know it would be quite entertaining to hear."

Galena hit him upside the head: "Do you want me to help you or not?"

Chuck: "I got sliced pretty good up my left side. "

Galena: "So, in other words you're going to need stitches." I watched as she stood up and walked out of view into the kitchen. "I'll grab the bourbon."

While she was messing around searching through the cabinets, Chuck yelled "That's ok. I got my flask."

Galena came back out with a needle, hospital grade stitching thread and the peroxide. She looked over at me and held out her hand. I sighed as i reached into my pocket, tossing her a lighter.

: "Make sure you give it back after you're done."

Galena: "You know i will." She turned her attention back to Chuck. "Now i need to get to the wound before i can treat it."

Chuck: "Say no more."

Though he tried to cover his pain with a smile. It was easy to tell it hurt to move, but he took his jacket off none the less.
