I know you have done things you wish you haven't. Seen things that you shouldn't have seen, and all you want is to take it all back. All of it, and forget about those memories in an instant. And as you lie there, wondering why you have been dealt these cards, dealt with the things you have I am here to remind you that there is a flip side. A good to all this madness. All these things you have done or seen with only start the fire in your soul that will become an inferno that no one can stop.
Only you can either suppress the fire or ignite the fire. But I will leave the choice for you, my child. For I trust you to make the right decision and follow what you believe is right. Righteousness is the difference between a good man and the right man. As a great man said, 'There's never been a true war that wasn't fought between two sets of people who were certain they were in the right. The really dangerous people believe they are doing whatever they are doing solely and only because it is without question the right thing to do.'
This choice will set you upon a road where you cannot turn back around until it is too late. This choice is one where you cannot escape or leave. This choice is the biggest choice of your life. Now, you may ask yourself why I choose you. A average person with a average life. But that isn't what I seen in you. I see a good soul. I see a righteous man beneath your façade, behind everything you lock away. You hold a pure soul. And this is why I choose you.
You are the only person who can handle this. And I know, you believe you are a bad person who had sinned in the past. But, your past doesn't matter when you live in the present. You live now, not last year or five minutes ago, now.
This feeling within you isn't fear, it is doubt. And doubt will be your downfall. Do not let doubt plague your mind, young one. You must follow your path with confidence and your head held high. You will feel this feeling more times that you can count, but do not let doubt control you. You must conquer your doubts with your confidence. And once you have conquered doubt, you will conquer anybody in your path.
As I lay my head to rest, this may be the last time I speak. I am dying and it isn't very hard to tell. Now, I must pass on to my successor, which I had my doubts about you, but here you are.
Use these gifts for which you path you take, the path you will take for the rest of your life. Now go, I am getting tired. I must rest now, my time has passed although I may be gone, I will always be with you. You shall take your rightful place on this earth, Remy Gardner.
