Hal?!Remy looked at the man, his arms crossed as he stayed silent. Thaal had a Cheshire grin on his features as Remy tried to identity who it was. Once Thaal let Remy's chin go, she fell to the ground.
The yellow lantern stuck his hand out, making a yellow baseball glove for Remy to land on. Remy saw the structure he made, making her wonder if it was actually Hal or not. Once the baseball glove started moving towards the lantern, Remy knew who it was.
Remy stood up on her feet, her eyes starting at Hal's brown green eyes which was masked by the yellow mask that appeared on his face. Remy couldn't say anything - the single person who taught her everything about the Green Lantern Corps, about will; here he was, standing with the enemy.
Remy's eyes started to water as she didn't know what to say.
Hal exhaled, looking back into Remy's eyes as she didn't say a word. Hal took the opportunity and grabbed her and closed the gap between them. Hal's lips were soft against Remy's rough lips, Remy's hands wrapped around Hal's neck. Remy didn't care about Hal being a different lantern right now, she wanted him - needed him.
Those weeks of torture, those weeks of watching her siblings and Hal die over and over again only sparked her want for him. The slow kiss quickly became one of passion and aggressiveness. Remy gripped Hal's hair roughly, causing Hal to moan as Remy took the opportunity and stuck her tongue.
Breaking away, Hal and Remy shared a look. Hal smirked, but his smirk faded once reality finally hit the both of them. Sinestro chuckled silently, grabbing something from his pocket and throwing it at Remy's feet.
"Good luck getting home, Green Lantern." Sinestro smug grin once made Remy want to punch him even more. Remy slowly leaned down and grabbed her ring, slipping it on her finger quickly as her battered rags called clothes changed into the Green Lantern uniform. Remy looked down at the ring, surprised that it still had some juice in it.
"Battery levels at 1.06 percent." Crap.
Hal went to help Remy out of the room, but once he touched her, he was electrocuted. Looking down at his yellow gloved hand, he was reminded of the predicament he was in. Sadness filled his eyes as Remy walked out of the room, clutching her stomach as a green hue was serving as a protective barrier.
Her feet slowly left the floor, slowly flying out of the home of the Sinestro Corps and out into space. She just hoped she could find Oa and tell The Guardian's everything, and of what Hal did. She knew The Guardians would banish him, label him a traitor but how did Hal get a Yellow Power Ring in the first place.
Hal looked down at his yellow ring and closed his eyes. He loved the power of fear, the energy that flowed through you when wore the ring - no. Fear was like an addiction. He knew once he put this ring back on, it gonna be hard to put it back down.
________
"Kilo-"
"Pooser!" Kilowog yelled as he flew up to the very injured Remy. The ring helped protect her and bring her to Oa but it was running on fumes. Remy feel onto the floor, blood staining her uniform as her head dropped.
Kilowog picked her up and flew her to the medics. The universe's doctors came quickly, seeing the severity of her injuries. Kilowog tried to speak to her, make her stay awake, but by the looks of it - she wasn't waking up.
The doctor ushered Kilowog out - after much protest out of the instructor - Kilowog went back outside. Seeing the sky light green, Kilowog's jaw dropped for the second time that day. All the hostages that the Sinestro Corps had were now returning to Oa. But why is the question that Kilowog wanted to know.
"No-no, that pooser did not!" Kilowog yelled at nobody in particular. He clenched his fists, flying upwards and trying to find him. How could he do this without even telling Kilowog! That made him angrier.
Flying down to The Hall of Guardians, Kilowog slammed opened the doors, silencing the Guardians instantly. Appa Ali Apsa opened his mouth to protest, but Kilowog spoke before him.
"Somebody wanna tell me how every hostage Sinestro had is now in the infirmary?" Crossing his arms, Kilowog awaited an answer. When the Guardians finally shared a look of knowingness, Kilowog had his answer.
Appa Ali Apsa's face turned grim. "Hal Jordan has broken his oath. Again."
It was now Kilowog's turn to be confused. "Hal just saved all those people! Sure, he took up what he said he wasn't, but he was only doing to save the hostages from Sinestro!"
The Guardians shook their heads.
"Green Lantern Kilowog, your mission to find and eliminate Hal Jordan."
Across the town, Remy gasped loudly, waking up abruptly. She looked around, trying to remember anything upon how she had reached this all green room. Green Lanterns stared to flood her bed as Remy started to breath quickly.
Looking down at her hand, her ring was missing. She was wearing the clothes she had when she was a prisoner to Sinestro. Just the thought alone made her angry.
What made her ache more was Hal. How could he turn on his Corps? Even if it was to save all those people, he would become a traitor to the Corps. She needed to see him again.
"Remy? Remy, are you alright?" The deep voice of John spoke, placing his hands on the side of the bed where the doctors weren't. Remy found John's gaze as she opened her mouth to speak but found her throat to be very dry.
John chuckled, turning around to find a glass of water ready for her. He handed it to her, Remy chugged the water she had yearned for since she had been in the Yellow Lanterns.
"Thank you." She managed.
"Don't thank me." John spoke knowingly, his eyes saying more than she would rather hear. So John was apart of this too, apart of Hal's suicide mission and her recuse.
Remy closed her eyes, laying her head back on the hospital bed. How was she going to explain this to her siblings? Is this when she finally tells them everything? Sighing, Remy rubbed her eyes, not wanting to deal with everything right now.
"He didn't come back, did he?" Remy whispered, but she knew John heard her. John formed a chair with his ring and crossed his legs. He didn't want to break the news to her, after all these injuries - the man that saved her couldn't see her.
The silence that Remy received was more than enough to serve as an answer. Clenching her jaw, Remy grabbed her ring from the table beside the bed. She slipped it on, the green lantern uniform appearing on her - but it was changed.
Instead of her outfit looking like Hal's, Remy's upper body was armored, the green lantern symbol glowing brighter. Her sleeves were no longer long sleeves, there were rolled up and she wore gloves. She also had armored knee high boots to finish it off.
Ripping the blanket off of her, Remy stood up quickly but she immediately regretted it. Her arm was so much pain, causing her to yell out. John ran to her, helping her back up as Remy stuck a hand out.
"I'm going to find him." Remy created a sling for her arm and started walking out. John chuckle slightly, seeing the same stubbornness that he sees in Hal.
"Wait up, Gardner!"
