We were on our way, walking down the trail. Olivia, April, F1, and I. I have a feeling this is going to be a fun adventure!
"Hey, there's a Pokemon Center up ahead!" Olivia said, looking into her Travel guide. How does that tiny box know so much?
"We could stop for lunch there?" April suggested.
"I don't mind." I said. "F1, there's a Center up ahead, we're stopping for lunch there!" I said. "Does this mean Froakie has to come out?" He asked, and I sweatdropped. I guess he really doesn't (he's jealous) like Froakie.
"Yeah! Why wouldn't I let him out? Froakie needs to eat too, don't be so selfish." I said. "Selfish? How am I being selfish!?" He asked. And we argued again.
Olivia and April sweatdropped, and their probably tired of not being able to understand F1.
Suddenly, my hood was grabbed, and I'm now being dragged down the trail.
"Quit arguing, more moving!" Olivia said.
"Hey! Let me go!" I said, and F1 was standing back laughing. I'll get him back, sooner or later, if Olivia's not around to drag me away.
I was let go when we were standing in front of the Pokemon center, which was covered in vines, and had splintering wood. It's abandoned.
"Why would there be an abandoned Pokemon center on a map?" Olivia said, checking her Travel Guide again.
I don't know, but, I kind of want to explore this place. "Let's go in!" I said.
"What?! What if.. it's.. haunted?!" Olivia said, and shivered. "I'll be waiting out here if you do go in."
"Are you crazy? What if it's not actually abandoned?" F1 said, but I ignored him and marched up the steps to the door. I pushed it, and it opened fully as soon as I touched it.
"Wahh!" Olivia yelled, and hid herself behind April.
"Well, it's open. So go in." F1 said. He thinks I'm going to back down. Guess again, F1!
I stepped through the door, and it slammed shut behind me.
"Hey! What happened?!" I said. I tried opening the door, but it seemed locked.
"Sophie! Don't die!" Olivia cried.
"Vee! Are you ok? I can't open the door!" F1 said.
"I can't either! I'll go around and see if I can find a way out." I said.
I walked to the front counter, and there was nothing. Not a paper, not a light.
I walked to the left hallway, and it was almost pitch black. It was dim from the light shining through tiny holes on the wood.
There were many doors, and one was wide open, and had a light in it.
I stepped forward once, and a floorboard creaked, which made the light disappear. I stood still, not knowing what would happen.
I looked behind me, and there was a window, which was definitely not there before.
"F1?" I said, and ran to the window.
"Vee! There you are!" F1 said. We looked at each other through the window.
"Have you found a way out yet?" He asked.
"No, but, I walked down this hallway, and there was no window here before." I said.
"Really? You're joking, right?" He asked.
"No, I'm dead serious." I said. There was a cool wind behind me.
I turned around. "Who's there?!" I said.
"Vee-" when I turned around, the window was gone.
"F1? Where did you go?!" I asked. This is really scary.
The light in the room was there again, and I was careful not to step on any damaged boards this time.
I turned the corner, and there was a glowing egg, maybe the size of Froakie. It was purple, an unusual color for an egg.
As I got closer, it got brighter. Is this a good thing? Maybe it'll hatch?
It lit up the room, and I saw shelves with old supplies on them. Why take everything else?
When I was close enough, I touched the egg. That's when it glowed so bright, I had to cover my eyes.
Then, everything was dark again. Did it hatch?
I looked, and there wasn't an egg there. There was a different figure. I remembered, to pull out my Pokedex to identify a Pokemon I don't know. This particular Pokemon was called Noibat.
It looked at me, and tilted its head. Since I'm the first thing it saw, does that mean...
Im considered to be its Mom?!?!
I just turned around, and tried to pretend-
"Mama?" It said.
I screamed, and ran out of there. I don't want to be a 'Mama'! No! Never!
I stopped in the middle of the lobby, and looked around. Wait, I have an idea!
"Froakie, come out!" I said, and threw the Pokeball. Blue light came, and lit the room for a second before Froakie appeared.
"Can you use Water Pulse on the door?" I asked.
"Sure thing!" Froakie said, and formed water pulse, which dimly lit the room.
"Water Pulse!" Froakie said, and hit the door. The doors flew open, and I saw just Olivia standing out there.
"Olivia, where's April and F1?" I asked.
I walked out of the Pokemon center, and in front of Olivia.
"Olivia?" I asked, and shook her shoulders.
"What? Huh? Sophie!" She said, and hugged me around my neck.
"Olivia, where's April and F1?" I asked.
"Enough with that! Where have you been for the last few days!!?" She said.
"Wait, days? Days? I've only been in there for a few hours!" I said. It's true, I've only been in there maybe a less than an hour. Maybe she's confused.
Froakie leaped onto my shoulder. "Is she crazy? You're saying hours, and she's saying days?" Froakie asked. "Yep." I said, and facepalmed.
Suddenly, there was a piercing scream coming from the Center.
"MAMA!!" It was Noibat.
"What is that!?" Olivia yelled.
I couldn't really hear her over the screaming of Noibat. I don't think it'll stop until it sees me.
F1 and April were coming into view, and the closer they came the more they covered their ears.
"Vee! What's going on?!" F1 asked, and then the screaming stopped for a second, then went on again.
"ITS A NOIBAT!!!" I yelled, and they looked at me confused.
"Oh for the love of-"
I said, and took my hands off my ears, and put my hood over for a little sound protection, not that it helped.
I ran back in the center. I turned and ran down the hall that I found the egg in. But, there were no doors. There was one specific spot where I heard the most sound, and decided I was tired of these illusions.
I just hit the wall, and tried to break it down. I had to stop for a few seconds to cover my ears tightly and regain sanity.
After maybe five minutes of doing that, wood started to peel and there was a door handle in the middle of the wall. I pulled off the old plywood and grasped the handle. I pushed as hard as I could and the doors flew open.
I was about to go deaf, because the screaming became even louder when it opened. I saw the Noibat, and it made such a high frequency I could see the sound waves passing by, and bouncing off the walls. Noibat was at the back of the room, and it wasn't screaming, it was crying. Was it, sad when I just ran away like that? Some friend I am.
"Noibat!!" I yelled. It didn't hear me. "NOIBATT!!!" It still didn't hear me. I wish it would tone down a little bit. I guess I have no choice. It's either stay here and keep yelling like an idiot or go to it and possibly lose sanity, and the ability to hear. I'd rather not be an idiot.
I started walking to it, my hands closing tighter on my ears as I was getting closer.
I was right in front of it. What now? What to do to cheer up a baby..
I had a flashback, of when I met Ratatta.
"Hey there, are you alone?" I asked. It lowered its head. "It's ok, I'll be here for you!" I said, and it looked at me confused. I picked it up, cradling it in my arms.
That's what I need to do.
I pet Noibat on its head, and it stopped crying.
"That's better." I said. At least I can hear myself.
I picked up the little thing, and cradled it in my arms, like Ratatta.
I think it's best to get out of this dark place. There's still ringing going about here.
I went back outside, and everyone was waiting for me.
"What's that?" Olivia asked, pulling out her Pokedex.
"Yeah, who is that?" F1 asked.
Olivia's Pokedex explained it all.
"Noibat? Did you catch it?" Olivia asked.
"Well, no, but-"
"Since it's still wild, and a baby, why don't you? It's a perfect opportunity!" She explained.
"I, uh.." I looked at F1.
He looked like he could burst out laughing at my situation.
"Ok, well, fine then." I said. F1 started to look serious.
I took a Pokeball from my pocket, and swallowed. Here we go.
I touched the front of it to Noibat, and the Pokeball took it. It didn't even shake, it just clicked.
Olivia gazed at the Pokeball. "I'm so jealous! I don't have a second Pokemon!" She complained, and April came over to me.
"How about a battle?" She asked. The sun was starting to set. Wouldn't it be too late?
"The sun is setting though." I said, and we all looked towards the sunset.
"Oh well. Maybe next time." She said.
"Ok, let's go!" Olivia said. And before I knew it we were off to find a place to camp for the night.
