Screenwriting class
Everybody on my left
has hair that falls with graceful theft
of the sunlight.

Priya
The slightness of her frame
gave her an air of kindness,
but she has heavy eyes.

Mel
Pen in mass of curly cues
She eats a pound of sour candy
Instead of doing homework.

Benson
He sits in a space as small as he can manage. Legs folded over one another like he wishes his jeans were still folded in his drawer, him, small enough to sleep in them.

Geo
The whites of her eyes match her faded red hair. I can taste the chemical tange of her box dye red bangs when I make eye contact with her.

Bianca
She is very much a member of the female species: her shoulders curling with every twitch of her cheek. Her eyelashes perpetually flirting with her brow. Her laugh- always prepared to bubble to the surface of her raspberry lemonade lips.

Professor Darling
Steam slithers out of her cardboard cup of tea
mingling with her snow streaked head of hair to intensify the stragglers of frizz framing her peach toned cheeks.

Ali
She wears color for comfort
and black for strength.
Two cups of coffee just at arm's length.
She laughs, and people shudder
(Mostly because they remember how dark the room would be without her.)
