CHAPTER 8

My arms are around her, chasing after her in the field of tall grass.

Her hair, flowing so nicely, daintily over her back.

She fell to the ground and started to laugh. I lay beside her and laughed as well.

The grass was soft. Softer than fleece.

Her nose tingling as she sneezed. She was so, super cute when she did that.

I wanted her to be with me forever.

I tickled her as I wrapped my arms around her waist, pulling her towards me.

The sun had begun it's descent over the clouds, turning the sky different shades of pink, orange, red, yellow, and purple.

It was very beautiful, but all I could think about was her.

She was beautiful

"So beautiful." I murmur. Repeating my thoughts.

"I know." They say. "The sunset is amazing."

I stare at them for a minute, getting sucked in by those stunning hazel eyes.

"No." I say. "Not the sunset, you."

They look at me.

Running their finger down my bottom lip, ever so slowly.

"I-I..." I stutter. God what am I doing?"

"Shh. Don't try to talk." They whisper.

They lean in. How I want to kiss them so bad and...

"Fight Attendants please be seated for take off..."

What the fuck?

My eyes flutter open.

Ugh! I'm still on this plane!

Christmas Break started a long time ago. And today is actually Christmas.

So yeppe! Haha, note sarcasm.

So all day I'm stuck on this plane. Got up at 4:30 and arriving in L.A. at 3:00.

But I'm so god damn tired!

I look at my mom as she looks at me expectantlly.

"Uh, sorry, um yes?"

"Do you want to watch a movie? I think you must be bored."

She doesn't know I fell asleep, ok.

"Yeah, yeah I'm very bored." I say, and for some reason, I yawn.

"I bet." She says before going into the suitcase, handing me my phone.

"Thanks." I say tiredly.

"No problem." She mumbles before going back to sleep.

Clicking on some music. All I do is stare out the window.

Imagining what 'we' could ever be.

The air conditioning blew on my arms, chilling them to the bone.

Rubbing them roughly so the blood in my arms wouldn't freeze, and clot, and stop.

After doing nothing but staring at the window for minutes, I finally put on a movie.

'We're the Millers' it's called. For a rated R flim, it was hilarious!

It was about a 'family' going across them Mexican border to smuggle drugs to a man for half a million dollars.
