CHAPTER 11

We walked into her office. Pulling out the chairs from under the table, holding one out for Anna, then sitting down for myself.

My paper towel drenched slightly with blood. The cuts above my eyes, and on my lower lip still stung.

Lyle sat on the other side of the desk, glaring at me. This only making me pull Anna closer towards me. Her tear stained face now buried in my neck.

He looked at her, than back at me. Noticing my stance and how I was shielding her from him, he could've guessed. His eyes turned to slits as the principle came in.

Knowing he was in trouble, his head was hung slightly. But having a reputation for a bad boy and having piercings and a leather jacket, didn't really help him know.

He sung his dusty brownish blondish hair to the side of his face. Hoping to intimidate me, but no reaction came from me. Only disgust.

I returned him a look of hatred. My eyes burning into his soul, and down to his empty stone cold heart.

'Fuck you' He mouthed.

'You too' I mouthed back.

He stood up quickly, I think about to punch me. Anna was still crying, and I made sure if he was going to punch me. He was going to hit me smack dab in the face. It wouldn't hurt me as much as it would have hurt to see her get hit by him.

"Move." He demanded. "All I want is Anna to talk to me."

"Like hell I would let you!" I shout. "You gave up Anna after your fucking follows beat her up!"

"Don't yell at me! After all, you stole her from me!"

"So to regain her love you beat her up!? That's fucked up Lyle, but not nearly as fucked up as you!"

He was just about to speak until the principal cut him off. Sitting down into the cool spiny chair that she has for her desk.

But that was the least of my worries now.

"Lyle please sit down. Now"

Gripping his hands on the desk, until his knuckles turned white. And his breathing heavy. Slowly sitting again.

"Lyle. Do you have anything to say before Spencer talks?" She asks coldly, as if anything he said would make no help to the situation.

"Yes, I do." Standing up again inches from my face. His horrible breath blew through my face. "I hope you useless piece of trash actually make her happy. Because all I think you are going to so is dump her in the woods!"

I stood up. Still protecting Anna from Lyle.

My breathing became more heavy. My eyes squinted at him. Shaking my head slowly. My hands crunched up into fists. And I stood a bit taller. Still two inches shorter than him.

"I swear you are this close to getting your head ripped off Lyle!"

"Well, do it then." He smirked. "Or are you to weak?"

The next second I swung my arm back, ready to knock him out cold.

But he was already on the ground holding his nose in pain. I'm pretty sure it was now broken.

Considering I sacked it hard before.

I turned my gaze from him on the floor to Anna. Turns out she punched him in the face instead of me.

"Lyle you dare insult her again, and you will not even have a nose! Understand!"

"Girls you can leave now. Um, Lyle will be suspended from this school for some time. I will let you off this once, just under the circumstances." Her voice sympathetic.

"Thank you." I whisper. Again wrapping Anna in my arms.

Getting up from the chairs, we swiftly made our way out of the door. Grabbing our bags and phones.

Anna was texting her dad that we got caught up at school. While I sent one to my mom saying that I would go over to Anna's house.

"You didn't have to do that for me." I tell Anna as we walked down the front porch stairs.

The rest of the time we were silent.

Walking to the park with her. That's also were the bus stop is.

And because it was now 3:42 the next bus would be here in half an hour, so we had time to kill.

Dropping our stuff by the slide were we could watch it, we walked to the swings.

"I know." She whispers so softly. Breaking the silence. It was like a feather in the cool breeze. "But I didn't want for you to be bloody and brusied." Her head hanging down.

Now sitting on the swings, she sat on my lap. As I wrapped my hands around her waist.

"Anna I would prefer me to be bloody and bruised, than you be."

"Thank you." She says as she leans into my shoulder.

"No need to say thank Anna. I would do anything for you." Tears forming my eyes as they formed hers.

The bus came earlier than expected.

Anna sat next to me, and rested on my shoulder.

Softly sighing. I never thought that I would ever be this lucky.

Poke.

"Stop it!" I mumble.

Poke.

"Ugh Anna!" I whine like a little girl.

Poke.

"Anna!" I whine again.

"What we are home." She smiles at me like she has done nothing wrong.

"You're lucky your cute." I grumble.

We get off of the bus, and go into her house.

To say it was nice was an understatement.

A two story house with a freaking pool! The closest I had to a pool was a slip 'n' slide.

"Are you going to come in?"

"Um, y-yeah." Ugh smooth Spencer. Smooth.
