CHAPTER 10.
The day I had to go back to school. Eh, I woke up late. The flight back was last night and believe me, if you get in at 1:30 in the morning, you sure as hell won't wake up that early!
Now instead of 6:40, I get up at 5:30. Because we moved again, even farther! I now have to take the bus. Well jolly good show to that because it leaves at 7:15 and it is 7:12!
"Mom, I gotta go!" I yell at her getting an 'ok' as I scramble out the front door. Snatching up my skateboard, which my cat was sleeping on, I sigh as I shake him off.
"Larry, come on get off." Earning a hiss from him, eh, he never liked me anyway.
I began to ride down the street, almost hitting a car. I don't know if you can get a speeding ticket for a skateboard, but I think I will.
The wind in my face as I start to reach the bus stop. As I go down the hill, I see the bus. All the other school kids were getting on.
"Wait!" I call out as the people start to get on, turning towards me, holding the doors open. Skidding my board to a stop, I grab it and get on. Jeez my mom would kill me if I didn't make it on time!
Well thank god I did, cause getting the cold shoulder ain't that fun girl.
"Thanks." I say to the bus driver, putting a dollar in the box. Sitting in the very back of the bus. Putting my backpack under the seat in front of me.
I look at my phone 7:18, good, we'll be on time. I sigh as I lay back in my seat, closing my eyes. While the other kids talk I just put on my earphones. Listing to 'Let her go...' By Passenger.
It reminded me that I let Anna go.
How I loved her to much, but I told her to late.
You only need the light when its burning low...
Only miss the sun when it starts to snow...
Only know you love her when you let her go...
Only know you've been high when you're feeling low...
Only hate the road when you're missing home...
Only know you love her when you let her go...
And you let her go...
I turn the song off after that, it made me cry, and miss her. I miss Anna, Lyle has been keeping her away from me as long as I got within a sixteen foot radius of her. Putting away my earphones I just sit there, starring out the window.
The trees were blurred as the bus zoomed by on the freeway. Seeing the sun come up, shining on the clouds, making pink and yellow colors, striking the sky. It was pretty, but most kids wouldn't see it because they're still sleeping, lucky them.
We made the normal stops, kids houses, neighborhoods, etc.
I never realized we had stopped, again the bus pulling up to one unfamiliar house.
"Huh I guess they're new." I mumbled.
Turning to get something out of my backpack. The doors screeched opened, I flinched at the sound but I kept my head down, to focussed on something else.
The mystery person began to walk over to the back of the bus, where I was. They sat next to me. Wondering who it was, I looked up.
Crap!
"Anna! What are you doing here?" I say in a hushed whisper.
"I'm taking the bus, why?" She asks. Before placing a quick kiss on my cheek.
