Chapter Seven
A week passes and once again I'm doing my usual Monday morning routine. The loneliness of everything that has happened has gripped me completely now. Liam still hasn't spoken to me, I've tried but I'm just being ignored. I've called, texted, nothing. I've been thinking about going to his place but I'm afraid to be honest, I'm just afraid that something will happen and it will all end.
Sighing, I look at all of the calls and texts that I've attempted which angers me enough to storm out of my flat and into my car, driving towards Liam's place which isn't far from me. When I get to the shared house him and his three friends live in I don't even bother with a knock, I use the key he gave me and walk in, ignoring his friends saying an awkward hi to me. I get to the part of the house upstairs where Liam's room is located and once again without knocking I go in to find him laughing at a video on his computer, his phone at his side which receives a notification as I walk in gaining his attention. He's been purposely ignoring me. Although I kind of believed it I still didn't want to. I've been holding onto the hope that it wasn't true.
"You think we should speak?" I ask, still standing in his doorway. He turns around with a jump, clearly not expecting me. When he sees my face he goes pale, not speaking. "What's been going off? Explain Sunday to me. Explain why you haven't bothered to call or text. Explain!" I shout, the anger taking its control and allowing all of the feelings I wouldn't usually let come out just come exploding out having bottled it up for so long.
"Why are you so angry?" He asks like it's strange for me to be angry. How can I not be angry when my boyfriend, the person I'm in love with, confesses to kissing someone else so coldly and proud? How can I not be angry when he doesn't even bother to explain or try to resolve it either?
"Why am I angry? Hmm.. I don't know. Maybe because you've kissed someone else simply because you were pissed I couldn't go on a weekend away with you." I say sarcastically shocking him even more with my sudden outburst, most of the time I'm calm and friendly. He's never seen me this angry before, I didn't even expect to be this furious.
"That's not it!" He shouts, his cheeks going redder.
"Then what is it?"
"I was going to propose!" When he shouts this across the room I go silent. I don't even respond. I watch Liam go back to his desk to pick up a small blue navy coloured box and throw it in my direction. "Happy?"
"You were going to propose?" I ask quietly.
"Yes." He tells me softly.
