"You childish," Sapphire huffed at me. I shrugged it off and kept studying.
She was saying I was childish for not telling Eli it was me singing in the showers. First of all, we were naked. That situation would've been uncalled for. Second of all, he's one of the popular guys around here. He always gets invited to things because he's a football player and I don't wanna be on front street like that. I'm the type to smoke my blunt solo and vibe by myself. Sapphire likes to drag me to all these parties and stuff.
"I'll tell him one day," I sighed still deep in my thoughts.
"Imma tell him then. It makes no sense to hide it. You can sing your ass off," Carmela chimed in. I rolled my eyes at the both of them. This was none of their business.
"Tell him then. It wouldn't make much of a difference," I shrugged. I'm invisible to most people around here since I'm straight from the South. I get looked at barely. Carmella has been here for a while, so she knows people.
Sapphire sat on my bed and smiled, "Y'all would be so cute. I would have some fine ass nieces and nephews. And I gotta be the co-maid of honor with Carmella of course. Ahh! I can see it now. I hope they have your eyes. Your eyes are prettier than Eli's"
I shoved her almost tipping her off my bed. "Just no," I chortled.
"No what?" Fallon came through the door. I don't know why she even came over here. The only one here that fuck with her is Sapphire and I still don't know why. Oh yeah, she got the AKAs wrapped around her fucking finger.
Carmella scrunched her face, "Nothin', demon. Begone."
She scoffed, "One more time, Carmella."
"One more time my ass. This is not whatchu want. I'll give you this good ol' Bama ass whoopin'," she glared across the room.
Fallon scoffed again and sat at Sapphire's bed. We all sat there silently for a whole second before I looked at the time. "Shit! I got Economics in fifteen minutes."
"I can't stand yo smart, 'but I hate school' head ass," Sapphire mushed my head.
"I'm here because this was my daddy's school. I wanted to go to Juliard," I stood up and picked up my backpack.
"What, you sing?" Fallon asked me causing me to automatically roll my eyes at her voice.
"I do what I do and mind my business, B. Getchu some," I walked out of the door with a permanent smirk on my face. Now that I am officially an Alpha, Ion have a reason to act like I like her.

I decided to try my luck again by taking a shower this late. What if he found out it was me and didn't wanna sing with me anymore? I really didn't care too much, it was just kinda nice to know I wasn't the only loner around here. I had already waited about ten minutes and decided to just get my shower over with and sing to myself like I had already done the past two months being here.
"There's always been those times when I needed a breather.
When I might need a quick break from being the leader.
Cause I'm just human, you gotta feel that.
We're all just here to learn and everyday we are put up to bat.
If you feeling down, no you ain't alone
And if you feeling all confused, no you are not on your own.
Don't stress, yeah we're too blessed.
Someone once told me babe when the tide gets high, you just get low.
