In a relationship, it requires work from both sides. Don't chase after someone who is doing nothing out of the ordinary to earn your love. If you like someone, show them even if they might not understand you yet. Be their best friend, be someone they can rely on all the time, be there for them. Communicate, work out your problems, yes be curious about your partner; you don't have to dive into a relationship right away, if you're not ready - tell them. If they can't understand that, they're not worth your time.
A relationship requires communication; you have to be open with one another, trust each other. How can you love someone without their trust?
Another important part in a relationship; being able to apologize for your mistakes. Being able to admit that you're wrong or mistaken and can apologize. If you don't you're only creating your own problems, why are you ignoring me, why are you mad at me, why are you being bitchy? Because you decided to pretend it never happened so this is what you're getting.
