I looked up at them, eyes frozen wide.

"So what are we going to do then? How can we keep the seals from breaking?" I asked them.

"I don't know. We don't even know what is causing them to break in the first place," muttered Wren, frustrated. "We'll have to do more research and see if we can dig anything up that might help us. But for now, we need to head out or we'll be late for class."

The boys huffed in agreement and they stood up and headed out the door. I grabbed by bag and followed shortly after them.

I took my seat by the window and stared out it with my chin resting on my hand. The dreary grey sky hosted thousands of tiny ice crystals, just waiting to fall. I grimaced at the thought of it. I watched the trees dance in the growing breeze. Multiple brown and rusty colored leaves flew around the ground. A few tiny patches of white stood out against the ground. A shadow fell over me and I looked up to see the sly grin of Asher. He grinned as he pulled out the seat next to me.

"What has gotten your head in the clouds?" he asked, sitting beside me. He rested his chin in his hand as he peered into my face.

"Nothing that you need to concern yourself with," I replied, bluntly.

"Oh, snappy this morning! I like it," he giggled.

I rolled my eyes and glared at him. I took a large sip from a large paper cup.

"What do you want?" I asked, coldly.

"Nothing much," he replied.

"Then why are you sitting here?" I asked.

"Great seat choice, Asher. Be sure that you keep Miss. Canter up. She has this horrible habit of falling asleep in my class," the teacher said as he walked into the classroom.

I groaned and let my head fall to the desk, making a low thud noise.

"No problem, teacher," Asher said loudly. He giggled once more before looking at me. "I guess the moon god is not a morning person, hm?" he hissed to me. A dark shadow fell over his eyes as he let out a quiet laugh.

"Who's side are you on?" I questioned him.

"I'm on neither Hati's side nor yours. I'm on my own side," he replied with a chuckle. "I don't care if your seals break, if your soul gets devoured, or if Fenrir breaks free. I'm just making my own fun," he says, shrugging his shoulders.

"Quit joking, Loki," I hissed.

"I'm serious. It has been centuries since I've had this much fun," he replied. "Oh, you're using my name! I'm so happy!"

"Miss. Canter, Mr. Dram, unless it is something that should be discussed to the class, please keep quiet," stated the teacher, holding a textbook open in his hands.

"Sorry," I muttered, turning back to the black board. I ignored the looks from Asher and started to take some notes.

I left the main campus and started heading back to my dorm. I swung into the cafeteria to grab another large cup of coffee before heading out. I pulled out my wallet to pay for it when my phone started to vibrate. I thanked the woman and took my phone out of my pocket. I looked at the glowing name on the screen and picked it up.

"Hey, Wren! What's up?" I asked into the receiver.

"What are you doing right now?" he responded.
