There was a long awkward pause, and the boys looked at each other. I sat on the edge of my seat in anticipation. I could feel the sweat start to drip down the back of my neck.

It's not every day that you await a trial to see if you end up living with a bunch of boys or not. I thought to myself. It is also not every day that you get told that you are the reincarnation of a god, either.

"We have decided that the best decision to keep you safe would be to have all of us room in your dorm. There would be enough rooms for all of us. You could take the top floor, and we will take the bottom," Wren replied with his arms crossed.

I glanced up at them in disbelief. Are you kidding me? I will get like no privacy!

"Why are you looking so surprise? We brought this up the other night," Caldur replied dryly. "It's your own fault for not listening."

"This was the best way that we all agreed on. We can keep a watch on you almost twenty-four seven. And if we are needed, we are only a few rooms away," Wren said. "Plus, I want to see this shadow beast with my own eyes. I have a very bad feeling about it."

"We can make the move after classes tomorrow," Levi stated, standing up. "I have things that I need to do, so I am leaving. See you tomorrow," he said walking towards the door, waving over his shoulder.

"Yeah, I want to catch a movie in an hour, so I am leaving as well," replied Zain, also standing up.

The others shortly followed them, stating their reasons for leaving. I was soon left to sit on my own drinking yet another cup of coffee. I stared at the swirling steaming liquid, deep in thought. The lights flickered rapidly and the thunder growled loudly, causing small tremors to shake the windows. Rain poured down in unrelenting sheets. I looked out the window, refusing to walk out in the weather. A low deep laugh creeped up from somewhere deep in the shadows of the room. Not taking any chances, I grabbed my jacket, and leapt into the torrential downpour.

"You cannot run away," cackled the voice and its deep throaty laugh haunted my back. I ran until my legs got too tired. I slumped against a tree not too far from the path that led to my dorm. Looking behind me, I saw that no one was following me.

I have to get back soon. I have class early in the morning and I do not want to catch a cold. Come on feet, let's go.

I trudged, soaking wet, back to my dorm. The cloudy overhead created a dark space around my dorm. The trees branches hung low to the ground, heavy with the pounding rain. Black shadows danced in the trees. I walked up to my front door and unlocked it. Pulling the door open, I walked just into the threshold, before I shed my dripping jacket. I threw the soaked piece of clothing into the bathroom, where I hung it on a hanger in the shower. Pulling on fluffy pajamas, I pull open my slow computer and pull a few movies off of my desk as it booted up. Placing the computer on my bed, I pulled open the covers and prepared for a night of movie watching.

My alarm went off the next morning, waking me from a dream of black nothingness. Glaring, bright morning sun drifted in through my partially closed blinds.

Well, at least the weather has cleared up. I thought to myself.

Climbing out of bed, I gather my clothes and got ready for another uneventful school day. I was brushing my teeth when I just so happened to look over at the clock, and realized that it was a quarter after nine. My class had started at half past eight.

Oh crap! I'm late. I'm so late!

I threw down my tooth brush in the bathroom, and grabbed my bag. Which thankfully, I had packed the night before, and ran out of my dorm, not bothering to lock it behind me. I flew up the path, dodging past other students who were heading towards their classes. Ran through the main building and crashed into the classroom door. Glaring at the wooden door, I rubbed my sore face, and quietly opened the door, hoping not to be seen. Unfortunately, the teacher was staring at the opening door with a look of menace. Shrugging sheepishly to my seat, the teacher spoke.

"Late again, Miss. Canter. Do I need to personally set your alarm clock so that you do not over sleep?" he asked, setting a bunch of papers on his desk.

"No sir, I don't know where the time had gone. I was trying to be quiet when I came in," I replied.

"Yes, smacking your face into the door was being as quiet as you possibly could," he stated sarcastically. The other students snickered at his comment.

"Sorry, it won't happen again," I said with my head bowed to my desk in shame.

"You're right. It will not happen again, Miss. Canter, or you will have a detention to handle," he threatened, pushing his glasses up.

He turned back to the class and continued on with the lesson, when the phone rang to the classroom. He sighed, and set down his notes, and walked over to the phone.

"Hello? Yes, I understand. Send him right in," and he hung up.

There was a slight knock on the door and he went to open it. There stood the school director with a figure at his side.

Walking into the room, the director introduced him.

"This is our new transfer student. His name is Asher Dram and he is from Norway. Please treat him kindly," the director said. The transfer student looked over the class.

My eyes widen and a look of horror froze on my face as my eyes met his.

There is no possible way! You have got to be kidding me!

The transfer students' face lit up and he grinned at me.

"Toldyou that we would see each other soon, didn't I?" he asked slyly, his darkbrown eyes glinting in the light.
