Kendall's POV

So there was a girl who was on our cheer team at one point.

She had bouncy blonde hair and was friends with that one other fat girl who was really bad at cheerleading.

Plot twist- they're both dead now.

Wait, I think her name was Brian. (Or was it Brynn?)
I forget.

Everyone told me it wasn't our fault she was dead, and giving us 'condolences on our loss.'

But we really don't care.

Bri- er, Brynn, was a really nice girl. She was pretty, too. She had white teeth, too. That's a plus. It sounds really bad that we don't really care she's dead, but she can just join the rest.

I guess you didn't really learn much about me, so how about we take the spotlight of the dead girl for a couple seconds and learn more about me.

Well, I live in an apartment building. I live with my dad and my three brothers. Yeah, I'm the only girl. It's sorta hard sometimes, boys are always criticising. They're all popular jocks and athletic body builders, but are just about dumber then dirt. I mean, their lives are like classical white boy movies.

Popular jock dating the pretty cheerleader,  have lots of friends, rebels, you know the rest.

My family is pretty pressuring, you know? My dad thinks I have to be all perfect and athletic like my brothers. In all honesty, I'm not athletic. I'm not perfect, either. Between us, I was only made cheer captain because I buttered up to Kalani before she left, but don't tell her that, okay? Our little secret.

My dad doesn't love me as much he loves my dumb brothers. People told me it was because I looked so much like my mom, but its been five years since she was killed in the car accident ... but I don't want to talk about that right now.

My oldest brother, Brock, is quarterback on the football team. His girlfriend, Amber, is some pretty brunette cheerleader. She makes me so mad, you know, the way she talks.
"So, like, the other, like, day, my, like, friend Susan, like, broke up with, like, Evan!"
She's so annoying.

But I mean, she's so skinny and pretty. Trust me, I could dig around in a dumpster and find a personality better then hers, but she's pretty. I thought about it, and I guess this proves a point. You don't need to be all nice and kind to get popular, you need to be pretty and skinny. So I signed up for cheerleading.

Every day, I stare at food. I want to eat, but I disgust myself if I do. Absolute disgust. I bring the food to my mouth, my mouth watering, but I remember Amber. She's pretty, she's skinny. Skinny. I want to be skinny, too.

So every day, I sit the food down, and then toss it in the trash, because I will be pretty.

I will be skinny.

A/N- my goal for this book is for all you to start liking Kendall's character, after most of you (including me) hated her character in 'Skinny.'
So, tell me how I'm doing so far!
Oh, just a heads up, this isn't the last you'll see of Amber. 😉

See ya,
Hanna
