"you guys remembered, welcome to my house!" ray smiled as he slammed his door open.

"yeah! where's frank?" i said really fast, luckily he understood me. "he said he should be here any minute now. he's always late to things so if he shows up in the doorway in 30 minutes or so, that's normal."

goddamnit frank, he still never shows up to anything on time. that hasn't changed at all.

i plopped myself on the couch right next to the door so i can be the first one to greet frank. ray and mikey went off to look at one of his 85 million collections.

i've spent my whole day looking at the clock, i'm finally here and i'm still impatiently looking at the clock.

twenty minutes pass by, i went outside on the steps to go smoke. as soon as i went out, the greasy black haired angel appeared.

"what happened to you?" i said sarcastically while staring at frank who looked like he just climbed out of a sewer.

"alright so this morning i had to go to church with my family. i was stuck watching one of my neighbors' kids, the parents didn't get home until fucking 3am. i ended up staying up until the morning, planning to go asleep at 7am until my parents forced me to go to church with them. i got home and i finally took a nap until my dumb ass realized when i woke up that it was 5pm. i dashed down here as fast as i could and now i'm in your presence."

i started uncontrollably laughing "looks like you had such an adventure. i stayed up all night drawing and complaining to a fucking wall so i didn't get much sleep either."

"where's the other two at?" frank questioned as he sat down next to me.

"they went off somewhere upstairs, i'll wait until they come and get us to do something." i said as i leaned my body up against frank.

"did i mention that i missed you?" frank smirked down at me.

"you have been on my mind ever since you left my house yesterday. i sure as hell missed you."

silence filled the air around us. i continued to lean back onto frank to where my head was on his shoulder. he didn't mind it as he grabbed my open hand and rested it in his.

we peacefully watched the sunset in silence, in each other's presence until the door behind us slammed open. "frank, you made it finally!" ray yelled from behind us.

both of us jumped a little and frank stood up to go hug ray. "i got a fun surprise planned for you guys. follow me into the backyard!" ray said.

my hand tangled itself into frank's hand as ray opened the door to reveal his 'surprise'. "its just a fire pit." frank laughs from behind me.

"i was thinking that we could have a bonfire night! isn't that a cool idea?" ray smiled as his expression looked like he was trying to convince us into liking his idea.

i interrupted before anyone could even get their opinion out "that's a cute idea, ray. at least i appreciate it." i smirked back at frank who was angrily staring at me. our hands were still tightly gripping onto each other.

"i think it's dark enough to start it so go grab any chair from the garage and i'll meet you two back here." ray said to frank and i awkwardly standing there holding hands.

we walk together into ray's garage on the hunt to find chairs. i lifted two chairs out and came back to find frank struggling.

"you know that i'm small, help me out here!" frank yelps from behind the chairs. "its simple." i picked one up and walked out with it while frank continued to drag it along the concrete.

frank placed his chair directly next to mine, literally no space in between. all of us finally gathered around the fire.

the hour went on as the 4 of us engaged into this hilarious and intriguing conversation about some of the other kids at school.

"so gerard, do you plan on coming back to school anytime soon?" ray asked. no matter how many times i get annoyed with this question, i can't get mad at ray.

"since everyone keeps bugging me about it, yeah i'll see what i can do."

"it would be so cool seeing you around the halls again. definitely consider it!" ray grinned at me. i cheekily smiled back at him.

mikey and ray started a conversation amongst themselves which left me talking with frank. it's not a bad thing, i would like to go farther than a conversation in ray's backyard though.

i'd rather be sitting in our pajamas at 3 in the morning, endlessly giggling with each other. i continued to daydream about things frank and i could do together until the man himself, snapped me out it.

"i'm so glad to be here with you." frank smiled brightly. i turned to face him "i'm glad that i'm actually talking to you again."

"i don't want this night to end." frank faked a puppy-dog face. "mikey would probably kill me but you can spend the night again."

frank pulled me into a hug and whispered into my ear "thanks fam."

i've never felt this smiley before in years. i'm sitting in a backyard with my old friends, smiling, laughing. frank is beside me and i've never been happier.

i got up and went towards the fence to go smoke. it was quite peaceful being out here alone at night. the only thing i hear is mikey and ray talking in the distance.

a minute later, frank is stumbling his way towards me. "i swear, you always follow me everywhere." i giggled.

"i already missed being next to you." he says as he curled up next to me. "you'll be next to me all night, don't worry."

"i can't wait to get back to your home." frank smiled with joy. i can't wait to cuddle up next to him again tonight.
