gerard's pov

we brought frank into our hallway to figure out where he will sleep for the night. i wanted him to sleep in my room.

"he can stay with me." i pitched in.

"are you sure? i don't want you to kill him overnight or something." mikey said since he was confused on why gerard warmed up to frank so quickly.

"i won't do anything to him, just please let him stay in my room. i'll make the floor nice and comfortable."

"what? you could at least give me your bed since i'm a guest!" frank said while walking in between the two brothers.

"we've barely been friends for 24 hours, don't get your dick too happy with it."

"i'll leave you two alone." mikey said as he backed away into his bedroom.

frank and i were in a room alone together for the first time in years.

"are you hungry at all?" i spoke up to break the silence.

"you could feed me absolutely anything." frank giggled.

the two newly friends ran downstairs into the kitchen together "you don't know how much i missed this house."

i smiled as i threw a tiny bag of chips at frank "there's your midnight snack."

"thanks mom." frank smirked as he plopped himself on their couch.

"well someone's already getting comfortable in here." i said as he walked into the living room to find frank channel surfing.

"i still remember your house like the back of my hand." frank said as he lounged back on the couch.

i went outside to go smoke and little did i know that the midget was following me.

he sat next to me as he continued to eat the bag of chips that i gave him. "thanks for the food, man."

"i thought i'd be nice and offer you something on your first day back here."

"i'd never expect to be sitting here at your house, looking at the stars with you. i thought i lost you forev-"

i cut him off "frank, are you trying to make me feel guilty over your little mistake?"

"no, i'm just glad that i'm with you." frank kept endlessly smiling.

i never quite paid attention to the stars. i don't know where frank got the idea that we're stargazing together. i just wanted 10 minutes away from him to clear my head a little.

frank was obnoxiously eating the chips while laying on my porch, commentating about the stars.

i didn't respond to him, i just let him make side comments about inanimate objects that float above us.

"come on, you toddler. let's go inside."

frank brought almost 6 pillows from my closet and scattered them across my floor. he spread himself out and laid on my floor.

"frank? did you actually think i was serious when i said you can sleep on the floor."

"oh so now you're letting me sleep on the bed." frank sarcastically yelled out.

"its way too early to go to bed anyway." frank pulled out his phone "its 12:42, when do you fall asleep?"

"3 maybe 4." i shrugged. frank just nodded and said "same."

"well what did we used to do during sleepovers?" frank questioned.

"well we talked about kids at school, watched movies, talked a little more, annoyed mikey, talked a lot-" i was cut off immediately.

"seems like we sure did a lot of talking. the only problem is that you don't go to our school anymore."

"you can still catch me up on all of the drama and shit." i said as i moved over to let frank join me on the bed.

"well the teachers have become shittier, the students are still snobby as fuck. i guess that's the benefits of a private school." frank laughed.

i giggled with him as he continued "we're getting less homework but there's only one thing that'll make it better, you coming back."

"i don't think i'll even be allowed back in there. i'm not going to force myself into it just to go back to a real school." i said sarcastically.

"gerard, please? i miss seeing you there." frank pulled a puppy dog face on me.

"that's something that i have to deep down think about. it's the beginning of summer, don't worry."

frank rolled off my bed on purpose and began digging under my bed. "what the hell are you doing?" i questioned.

"trying to find something to do." frank mumbled. i let him dig under my bed, i have nothing secret to possibly hide under there.

time passed by as i was laying down watching frank question things around my room. it was almost closing in on 2am.

"i assume you're having fun looking through my sketchbooks, aren't you?" i questioned frank since he was all smiley while looking through my books.

"dude, you're great at drawing." frank said with a big smile.

"well you're the first to tell me that." i cracked a tiny smile.

he got up and dropped a book in front of me as he climbed up the bed to sit across from me. "explain some of these to me?" he looked up at me with an even bigger smile.

"well that was for a mini story that i was trying to write. i couldn't really write anything without having a vision of the characters to look at. i ended up quickly making them and there they are."

"don't you mean a comic?" frank said.
"well not quite. as much as i love comics, i don't think i could full out illustrate one." i responded.

"why don't you try it? make that a project for yourself. looking through your books, gives me confidence that you can do it." i started blushing immediately.

"well uh- thank you, frank." i leaned in for a hug and he hugged me tightly. tighter than its ever been before.

"i'm honestly starting to get tired so move over." frank signaled to me.

i threw up the covers and let frank roll right next to me. i snuggled up beside him as we said our goodnights.

"goodnight, gerard."
"goodnight, frank."

i went to sleep with a big smile on my face, remembering on how great this day went.
