Short story on Prince Lakshman abandonment by Ram ~

Part 2 ~ Princes arrival and Importance of Lakshman for Ram

Next morning , Luv-Kush , Angad Chandraketu arrived in Ayodhya together to meet their fathers.

Ram and Lakshman were as usually discussing about what they should do more for the welfare of Ayodhya.

Luv-Kush , Angad - Chandraketu entered the big gates of palace and everyone greets them.

Ram-Lakshman hears the noise of Ayodhya's people . They both moved towards the palace gates in question as to what is going on ?

They see Luv Kush , Angad Chandraketu approaching towards them.

Luv-Kush , Angad-Chandraketu looked towards each other with tears and smiled.

They all ran to hugged their fathers. Luv-Kush hugged Ram and Angad Chandraketu hugged Lakshman .

It was a loving sight of father sons meet after a long time.

Then Angad Chandraketu hugged Ram and Luv Kush hugged Lakshman.

Bharat Shatrughan came there after finishing their prayers.

All 4 princes ran to hugged them.

Ram Lakshman ordered servants to bring food for them while Bharat Shatrughan sat on sofa smiling.

The servant bring food for them . Ram - Lakshman feed their sons with their own hands in happiness.

After that Luv Kush sat on sofa along with Bharat and Shatrughan and Angad Chandraketu told their experience as rulers of their respective kingdoms to Ram , Lakhan , Luv , Kush , Bharat and Shatrughan.

Luv-Kush , Angad-Chandraketu, Bharat-Shatrughan moved out to take a visit to Ayodhya's streets after taking permission from Ram.

Lakshman goes to Ram and Ram smiled seeing him and they both make their way to Ram's chamber.

Lakshman sat down to press Ram's Legs but Ram refused and made him sit besides him.

"Lakshman , why you always serve me , take care of yourself too !" said Ram holding Lakshman's cheeks.

"Because , serving you without fail is the only purpose of my life , bhaiya" , said Lakshman.

"Ok , but as a elder brother , i too want to take care for you , you are the one who took care of mine from childhood , sometimes guided me as a father and cared for me like a dutiful son . Then why can't I ? ", Ram asked curiously.

Lakshman gently smiled hearing this .

"Bhaiya , thanks a lot for these words , but bhaiya , you are my elder brother and i will not like  that you serve me instead i want to serve you and in doing that only , i feel immense happiness", said Lakshman.

"But , Lakshman..." , said Ram to which Lakshman interrupted saying , " Please bhaiya , if u want to give me something , i just want your blessings and love, i need nothing else", said Lakshman holding Ram's hands.

Ram gently smiled.

Ram put his hand over Lakshman 's hand , "Lakshman , when you are with me , i feel a kind of ultimate peace and bliss and my love for you is beyond any limits ".

Hearing this Lakshman had tears .

"I am blessed after hearing this from u , bhaiya", said Lakshman.

"Not you , instead , i am blessed to have you in my life , my brother", said Ram with a calm smile and putting a loving kiss on his dear brother's forehead .

Lakshman smiled in tears.

"Lakshman , i still cannot forget the worst day of my life when you were lying unconscious on my lap juggling between life and death. You know , when hanuman brought you , for a second , i felt that earth has slipped from my foot , i was so shocked . I wasn't able to believe that you were in that injured condition", said Ram bit trembling .

"Bhaiya , why to think about the past ?" , said Lakshman putting his hands on Ram's shoulder.

"I know Lakshman,  but that day ,  i was feeling so much helpless and was filled with guil...", said Ram but Lakshman put his hands on his mouth " Please don't say further bhaiya , please , i can't hear it " , said  Lakshman with brimming tears.

Ram nodded because he knew that lakshman was being pained by his words.

"Lakshman , i want to say that you are the most precious gem of my life and you are my soul", said Ram smiling brightly wiping his tears.

Lakshman smiled brightly in tears ," Bhaiya !!!! 

"You are Lakshman , you are ", said Ram tightly hugging him.

Both smiled brightly in each other arms.

But still deep down in his heart , Ram was worried about his nightmare , what Lakshman said to him was truth that till the time they are together , nothing bad can happen , Lakshman 's words calmed him at that moment. But Ram was tensed , " What was the indication of that dream ? , Is this related to present ? , Will Lakshman leave him? ", all  this questions were running in Ram's mind. Because for him , Lakshman is his soul , his gem , he didn't want to lost him at any cost.
