Bella made her way around school like usual. She lived in Seattle, where it always seemed to be raining. Her school was not the best but suited her fine since it was where she first met Cam. Bella fell for Cam once she saw her on the track field, kicking around a ball in her gym class that had been let outside for the period. She was gorgeous, with a radiant smile and glowing hazel eyes. She was taller than Bella and was more of the sporty type while Bella was typical party type. They complimented each other. Bella followed the small crowds of teens that filed into the different class rooms. She stopped by Cam's locker to kiss her, then went to her homeroom. The day went by quick since she had classes that required her to pay close attention. She took Financial literacy, English 3, AP calc, and had gym. Nothing happened that was unusual until the end of the day. Bella walked into the gym, recieveing the casual greetings from her friends as she sat down next to them. Her best friend Carissa immediately began a conversation that took way too many turns to follow so Bella tuned her out like usual. That's when the usual became very unusual. Bella noticed a boy. A teen that couldn't be older than 16. She looked closely at the familiar features of his face and realized that being in the gym today was a grave mistake.
Carissa shook her hand up and down in front of Bella trying to get her attention. Yet Bella knew she could no longer stare at the all too familiar face or concentrate on anything else for that matter. She promptly got up, and left the room. She started to walk fast, turning the corners of the school quickly. The she started to jog, but nothing was chasing her. Soon she was sprinting as fast as she could until she got in her car, locked the doors and drove away. Bella didn't know where to go, so she decided that the local coffee shop parking lot would be a safe option. She parked her dark blue Benz in a spot and stayed there, immediately searching for her phone. She knew hat Cam would have gotten word of her disappearance from Carissa. She knew that Cam would look here first, and with that she waited.
Bella had stayed in the car in the lot till it was well past evening. Until finally, a soft knock on the window snapped her out of her thoughts. She looked up and saw Cam standing there, hunched over trying to peer through the glass. Bella unlocked the car door and watched as Cam stepped in and sat back, reclining the seat all the way back. Bella did the same as Cam gently reached for her hand, linking their fingers together. Cam began to make small talk, but Bella knew she was waiting for her to spill about the incident at the school. Bella swore she could never tell anyone about him, that he was no longer a being of existence to her. Yet as much as she believed this, the memory kept flooding back into her mind. Bella shook her head. No one could know. Not even Cam.
After Cam got coffee for Bella at the shop and drove their desperate way, Bella had a horrible feeling in her gut. It was guilt, but mostly fear. She felt guilty because she couldn't bring her self to tell Cam. She felt afraid because she knew that she could be in danger. He was not a good person. He was the opposite of everything she was. He had plagued her every thought and feeling. He took everything. So she ran, but she couldn't run far enough.
