The start

It started the day she saw him. That day that she recognized him, Bella knew that everything was going to change. In that same day, she heard her dad utter the only words ,she had believed, could kill a person. Her father had screamed at her mother that he could no longer love the changed woman she had become. All so suddenly Bella's perfect world began to crumble. Her siblings rushed into her room, tears dripping and noses running with fear and sadness. So Bella opened her door and her arms to them all, offering the only thing she could. She offered them safety.

Bella was not one to necessarily believe in divorce but she understood how it could happen. That two people can so easily hide the problems they faced deep down so no one would see on the surface. She knew that it was best to divorce rather than to try and maintain love that wasn't there anymore. Bella never thought about love until Cam had come into the picture. She still didn't entirely junk about it, the confusing concepts and play on romantic words. And for what? To just tell someone you like them enough to bang them? Bella just didn't get it. Cam had told her that it was okay and that love was a dumb thing to believe in. However Bella didn't believe in much anyways.

Soon after her mother had left the house in tears and her father punched away his rage at the door of their bedroom, Bella ushered her younger siblings to their rooms. She had to be strong for them in order for them to become strong like her. She was still surprised that the school hadn't called home about her skipping. It had only been two days since she left the gym and had passed of being sick to avoid going to school. Bella glanced over to see a broken Iphone on the short coffee table in the living room. Well that explained everything. Except not everything has an easy explanation. Bella's phone chimed and brought her back to reality. A bunch of friends were going to a party tonight at a popular kids house. She knew she no other choice but to go.

Cam honked the horn loud enough to wake up a whole neighborhood. Bella had explained to her dad that they would be out for a while going to go look for this book that she'll they needed for a school report. She included that she had ate dinner when she hadn't, and that they wouldn't be back till later. Her father barely grumbled a response before she was out the door and heading to Cam's car. Bella leaned over and gave Cam a quick kiss on the cheek and they were off. They listened to the radio as they went to pick up other friends, and then sped off to the party. The house was big enough to hold a whole zoo. Bella began to wonder what animals could fit in what room and why a house would need to be so big. She shrugged off her thoughts as she greeted people she knew, trying to get to the coolers she had spotted. In the blue cooler beers of all kinds sat on top of melting ice. Bell tossed a can to Cam and began to drink one herself. She knew better than to come home drunk, so she limited herself to only drinking two lite beers. They danced. They played games. They even dipped that feet into the clear pool water as people pushed by them. The place was crowded.

After a while Bella began to get tired and wanted to go back home. So she told Cam that after she used the bathroom, they could leave. Bella pushed past all kinds of party- goers like the pot head sin the corner of the room, polluting the air with thick smoke and the strong smell of exotic drugs. There were also the drunk guys and girls that lingered in the pool and on the lawn of the house. Plus you couldn't forget the couples that sat and made out in the couch the entire time. Bella walked up a flight of stairs and checked in rooms in search of the bathroom until she found it. She went in, did her business and texted Cam to get the car. When she walked out she felt cold. She felt fear. She felt hands grabbing her shirt.

She was in one of the bedrooms in the giant house. She could not see in the pitch black. Bella searched for her phone but fumbled it and dropped it with a soft thud. Once again she felt hands on her as someone helped her up from the floor. Bella was scared to breathe, and found her hands touching some kind of table behind her. She clutched onto it for dear life and thought of all possible ways out of the room. She had a feeling that it was him.

He was not the kind of guy you could just talk to. You would always end up in a full blown argument over the dumbest things. He was tall with black hair. He had a somewhat strong jaw line and a muscular body hidden by baggy clothing. He smelled of soft soap or maybe something sweet. He loved her. She hated him.

He was the one who ruined her. He as the one who could make her stutter. He was the cause of the panic in her blood and the pounding headache she would feel.

He was the boy who made Bella move into Seattle in the first place. She loved her home town but she begged her parents to move her when her dad was offered a better paying job. She left everything behind to get away from him but he always found his way back into her life.
