Come Back [Lapidot]

I want you, to LEAVE!

-Peridot's POV-

I just don't get it! What ever I do, it just makes things with Lazuli worse!

"This is never going to work Steven! There just isn't anything that will make her feel better!"

"What if you gave her something you liked?"

"There isn't anything else that I can give her! Sigh... Atleast I have you, tape recorder..."

Suddenly I realize what I could give Lazuli!

-Lapis' POV-

Once again I lay down on top of the cylinder tower (I know it's a water tower but Lapis probably doesn't)

I don't get Peridot, why is she going out of her way just to do this?

"Hey Lapis!" I hear Steven calling for me so I chose to fly down

As I reach the ground I see a familiar green triangle haired figure

"Go on Peridot" He ushers her to do something

"Ta da!" She holds out a box with a blue ribbon

"See, the ribbon is blue, just like you! I gotcho number!" She says with a wink which made me very uncomfortable

I take the box and open it to see some device inside

"It's a tape recorder, Steven gave it to me so I had something to record my feelings of this planet since I couldn't really talk to anyone else about it, and now it's yours!"

I just stare blankly at her

"Just press the red button to record"

I press the red button and speak "I don't want your garbage..." Then I crush the device in my hand

She just stares at first, shocked at what I did, even Steven was shocked

"NGHHH WHAT?! WHERE YOU TRAPPED IN A TAPE RECORDER TOO"

As she says that I got a bit shocked at her outburst

"I get it! You're confused! You can never go back to homeworld. This place doesn't exactly feel like home! You're alone, no one could possibly know what that feels like"

Now I'm getting a bit more angry at this gem

"Oh wait! I do! We're the same! Except... you don't have to be alone... so tell me then, what do you want, and what ever that is, I'll do it..."

"I want you... to LEAVE!"

She grimaces at my response, her face ready to burst into tears, with one final response

"Okay..."

She runs off but not without some tears falling

"Lapis, why are you acting like this?" Steven asks me with a sad face

"Why do you trust her Steven?"

"Because I know her... you're not even giving her a chance, now she's gone forever..."

I just looked at the tape recorder and then looked out at the distance as Peridot dissapears into the trees

"She really cared about you Lapis..." Steven says as picks up the broken tape recorder and walks toward the warp pad

Where did she go? I didn't really care that much

But where did she go?
