Chapter 21

I was awake by the scratching sound as it getting louder. But I'm too tired to open my eyes and I just want to lie on the bed for a while. So, I lie upside down, grab my pillow and burrowed my face underneath. Pero mas lumalakas ang kaluskos na naririnig ko.

"Ze! You're so noisy!" I groan as I hold the pillow tight.

"I'm sleepy Yana." His voice was raspy, deep and low. Pero inaantok pa talaga ako.

"Just sleep then."

"Can I sleep with you?" his voice got even dreamy. I want to protest yet I feel his hands landed on my back and since I'm so tired to move a muscle, I just lay still. Slowly, his hand encircled on my waist and he gently pulled me closer to him.

"Yana." He called again.

I groan as I push my pillow and decided to face him. He's quietly lying next to me. Sobrang lapit namin sa isa't isa. I felt his crazy heartbeat, his hot body temperature pressing against mine. Thou I'm a little bit dizzy I still manage to look at him. His eyes were half open yet he would close it in an instant. He's really sleepy. It feels weird yet it feels so damn good. So I pulled myself closer to him. He grunt as his embrace tighten.

Indeed, it really feels like home.

"Zoe?" naalimpungatan ako sa mahihinang tapik sa pisngi ko. But I'm still sleepy and tired. Pero bigla niyang kinurot ang mukha ko kaya napaaray ako at napabalikwas ng bangon. I saw ate Beatrice giggling on me.

"Wake up ka na. Kanina ka pa hinihintay ng sundo mo sa baba." Then she hug me and run outside. Wala sa sariling napatayo ako mula sa kama. But I abruptly look around as I remembered Hezekiel. Napatakbo ako papunta sa banyo. There, I saw him seating on the cold tile.

"Ze?" I called him. Mabilis siyang lumingon sakin and even painted a big smile all over his face.

"Hi Yana!" he waved.

"What are you doing?"

He shrugs. "Just want to feel the cold tile." Then he stood up and walk towards me.

"Why?"

"Kasi. ." suddenly he look at me intently and smirk right after. "Kasi pinag-iinit mo'ko." Nahampas ko agad siya sa braso. Tumawa naman siya ng malakas saka tinulak ako palabas ng pinto.

"Diyan ka lang ah. I'll be quick." Then he slam the door. Pero bago paman ako makarecover sa mga pangyayari ay bigla na siyang sumigaw na tapos na siya. So I hurriedly pulled the door to open but to my dismay, he was gone. Saan na naman kaya nagpunta yon. Ugh! Mabilis na lang akong naligo at nag-ayos ng sarili ko.

"Maam Zoe?" I heard yaya called.

"Coming!" I stumbles my feet on getting my things but as I'm about to get ready to run outside, I remembered Hezekiel. I know for a fact na hindi ako nanaginip kanina at magkatabi talaga kaming natulog. Even this broken wing was still so vivid on my mind. The idea brought me chill but I shook my head and decided to drop it at the back of my mind and dash through the receiving hall.
