Aria's POV
I woke up the next morning as the sun shined through my windows directly onto my bed, hitting my face. I got out of bed and checked my phone. 5 texts, and 7 phone calls from Lola. I sighed, what does she want.
I cleared my throat and called her. She answered after the first ring.
"Hello?"
"Hey its Aria. Are you alright?"
"Yeah, I'm fine! Great actually. Do you want to make any extra money this summer?"
"Yea, I guess, but its not one of my top prioritys," I sigh. "Whats up?"
I heard her sigh, "Drew asked me to go on vacation with him and his family and I really want to go, but I can't lose my job and Nathan said if I could get a replacement for while I'm gone, I can start working when i come back."
"So you want me to work for you?"
"No, well yes. You'll be getting paid! Please? I really need this job, and I love Drew. Please Aria."
"Fine!" I groaned, "How long would it be for?"
"A month," she mumbled.
"A MONTH?" I shrieked.
"Actually, a month and a half."
"I'm only doing this because you're my bestfriend."
"Good! Nathan kinda wants to see you and talk to you."
I groan, "When?"
"Now, well as soon as possible."
"Fine, I'll be there soon."
"Yay! Love you! See ya soon!" she hung up and I threw my phone on my bed.
I can make some extra money, and get those boots I saw at the mall last week, I told myself. It won't be that bad. I've always wanted to use a soft serve machine.
I ran into the shower and quickly washed my hair. I got out and and put on a pair of shorts and a t-shirt. I threw my hair in a bun and put a headband in from keeping my bangs in my face.
I went downstairs and saw my mom and she handed me a plate of pancakes, "Where are you going so early?" she asked me.
'I got a job!" I said and took a bite of a pancake and drank a glass of milk. "Thanks mom! I'll see you later! Bye Dad! Love you." I hopped down the stairs and went into my car. I drove down to the resteraunt.
Do I park in employee parking? I shrugged, I guess I will be soon. I parked and walked inside and there was Lola and Nathan waiting for me sitting at a table.
As I walked Nathan looked at me and stared at my outift.
"Hi!" I said and sat down next to Lola.
"I'm sure Lola filled you in for what you're doing here. I assume you're not taking it seriously."
"What?" I scoff. "Of course I am."
"Really? So you would wear a pair of shorts and a t-shirt to an interview." he said narrowing his eyes at my shirt that said- 5k run for Breast Cancer.
"Its for a good cause..?" I say smiling.
He rolled his eyes, "And you're not considered an employee yet, why would you park in the employee parking?"
"Well I assumed that I was," I quickly replied trying not to make eye contact with him. I admit I was embarresed and a little nervous.
"So you think you can run into this town thinking you can work wherever you want to work just because you're back in town for vacation for break?" He said impatiently.
