"Well, Dean Winchester, it's nice to meet you too. Faith Carter." Faith replied, sticking her hand out for Dean to shake. He happily obliged, a smirk across his face.

"So, you're Bobby's niece?" Dean started a conversation as they slowly walked through the yard back to the house.

"Well, not technically. But he was really good friends with my parents back in the day so I was always over here as a kid. I just called him 'Uncle' because it was easier for me as a kid." Faith replied, shrugging her shoulders.

"What happened to your parents?" Dean inquired.

"Demons." Faith's answer was short as she shoved her hands into her pockets. She hadn't really talked about her parents much since they died. She just shoved her thoughts of them to the back of her mind and focused on becoming a good hunter.

"I'm sorry to hear that." Dean's reply was sincere. He truly felt bad for her because he knew what it was like to grow up without parents. Sure, he had his dad, but he wasn't much of a father so Dean didn't count him as a parent.

"What about your parents?" Faith asked to keep the conversation alive. She stole a side glance at Dean as they continued to walk. His face hardened slightly at the mention of his parents.

"I'm sorry for asking. You don't have to tell me if you don't want to." Faith muttered quietly, averting her gaze again. Just as she looked away, Dean looked down at her. He smiled slightly, it was nice to have a girl be nervous around him again.

Most of the time, girls were the ones coming up to him at bars. It was a nice change of pace. But, he didn't really want to tell her about his parents just yet. He needed to know if he could trust her or not. He knew he should be able to, seeing as she was Bobby's niece and all. But he needed to know for sure.

"Maybe some other time." Dean finally answered her question as they approached the back of the house. Faith nodded her head in understanding. Their conversation died out as they walked through the house back to the living room.

"Hey, Dean. Bobby has another case for us." Dean's brother spoke as they walked into the room. Faith couldn't remember what his name was.

"What is it?" Dean asked as he joined the group of men huddled around Bobby's desk. Instead of joining the group, Faith walked to the kitchen and pulled out a bottle of beer from the fridge. She popped the lid off and took a drink as she listened for an answer.

"It sounds like demons." Dean's brother answered. From the kitchen, Faith spit out her drink. The men's attention shifted to her as she wiped her mouth. Bobby started to speak, he knew what she was going to say, but Faith spoke up first.

"I'm going with you." she told them firmly. The brothers and the angel turned to look at Bobby.

"Absolutely not." he shook his head.

"Bobby, I'm a grown woman. I'm going with them." she replied, her arms firmly crossed over her chest in defiance.

"Now, I don't care that you're a grown woman. I don't want you going." Bobby argued.

Faith rolled her eyes and ignored him as she turned to walk upstairs.

"Faith, come back here. I'm not done with this conversation."

"Well, I am. I'm going and there's nothing you can do to change my mind or stop me from going." Faith yelled as she walked into her room to grab her duffel bag.

"Faith Renee Carter, you listen to me. You are not going. It's too dangerous." Bobby continued to argue with her as he walked into her room behind her. From downstairs, the boys all glanced nervously at each other while they continued to listen to their argument.
