The next morning, Faith woke up earlier than she usually did. The only reason, though, was because she was excited for the black tie event tonight. It's been years since she was able to dress up extremely fancy. For someone in this line of profession, some people(mostly Bobby) thought she got way too excited to dress up.

Part of the reason why she loved it so much was because it made her feel normal, sophisticated even. Dressing up meant she could make herself feel pretty and good, when most of the time her job made her feel dirty and morbid.

"Faith, why the hell are you awake at... seven-thirty in the morning?" Dean questioned from the couch across the room. He had propped himself up on his elbows so he could check the time. As they made eye contact, he yawned and ran a tired hand through his hair.

"I just want to get a good start on the day. I was going to walk to the diner down the street and get something for breakfast. Want something?" Faith responded as she pulled on her boots. She looked up at him expectantly after she finished tying the laces only to see that he was pulling on a pair of jeans. A blush rose over Faith's cheeks as she looked away.

A low chuckled sounded from across the room as Dean finished getting dressed.

"Why don't I just go with you?" he suggested, picking up his keys from the table. Faith glanced at a still sleeping Sam before she shrugged.

"Fine. But we should leave him a note for when he wakes up."

"I'm surprised he isn't already awake." Dean scoffed as he picked up the pen and paper from the nightstand in between the hotel beds. Faith rolled her eyes and leaned forward on her bed to watch him scribble a note in truly awful hand writing.

"I've seen doctors with better handwriting." Faith teased as they walked out of the hotel room.

"Oh please, you should see Sam's. It's not even legible. At least you can somewhat read mine." Dean rolled his eyes playfully as they strolled through the parking lot.

"What made you want to come along? I thought you would have wanted to get more sleep." Faith asked, her hands shoved deep in her jacket pocket as they reached the diner.

"Well, Bobby asked Sam and I to keep an eye on you-" Dean began to say as he held the door open for her.

"Oh please, I can handle myself. He knows that." Faith scoffed. Dean rolled his eyes, but before he could finish answering her question, the waitress walked up to them.

"Booth or table?" she asked, a yawn masking her fake cheeriness. Dean and Faith shared a quick side glance before Dean asked for a booth, just in case Sam decided to join them. The waitress lead them to a table in the back corner of the diner before she took their drink orders. Faith ordered an orange juice while Dean ordered black coffee.

"So, you never finished answering my question." Faith continued their conversation from a few moments ago with a gentle smile on her face. Dean's answer was delayed, as he was currently stunned by the woman in front of him. The morning sun glinted through the window at just the right angle to showcase the minuscule specks of green in her bright blue eyes.

Her blonde hair was loose around her shoulders, the color was enough to rival the sun outside. Her white teeth glinted in the sunlight as she smiled. Dean shook his head slightly to clear his thoughts. He knew Bobby would kill him for even hinting that he had so much as the slightest school-girl crush on Faith.

"I, uh, just wanted some bacon. Sammy and I have been to so many diners and I have yet to find my absolute favorite." Dean answered after a few seconds, ignoring the questioning gaze he received from Faith.
