"So, where exactly are we going?" Faith piped up from the backseat. They had only been on the road for a few hours, but Faith was already bored. She was normally the driver, which was enough to keep her busy. But, now that she was a passenger, she had no idea what to do with herself.
She read a few lore books until she got bored. Then, she switched to scrolling through the apps on her phone. After that, she double checked to make sure all her fake ID's were still in her bag where she could easily get them. She tried to take a nap, and she would have fallen asleep if Dean hadn't started blaring 'Heat of the Moment' through the speakers of the car.
"Dean! I told you I hated that song!" Sam complained loudly. Sam had said this just before Faith asked where they were going. The boys jumped slightly before Sam twisted around in his seat to look at her. Faith noticed Dean eyeing her using the rear view mirror.
"We thought you were asleep." Sam smiled sheepishly at her, embarrassed to have woken her up.
"Well, I would have fallen asleep if Dean hadn't turned the radio up so loud." Faith crossed her arms over her chest and feigned being upset. Dean saw straight through her and cracked a smirk. Faith's stony expression faltered before she broke into a grin.
"We're headed to Winchester, Virginia." Dean answered her question as he focused his attention back on the road. Faith smirked before she leaned forward and rested her chin on top of the front seats.
"I didn't know you boys had your own city. Do you vacation there a lot?" she asked, her eyes glinted with mischief. Sam and Dean shared an exasperated look before Sam turned back to look at Faith and Dean returned his attention to the road.
"Ha ha, very funny. We've actually never been there before." Sam rolled his eyes.
"You're no fun, Sam." Faith pouted before she slid back down onto the backseat. She let out a loud groan as she laid down across the backseat of the car with her arm draped dramatically over her face.
"Oh come on, don't be like that. Here, to keep you from being bored, can you do some research for us?" Dean offered as Sam dug his computer out of his bag.
"I guess." Faith grumbled before she took the computer from Sam.
"What am I researching exactly?"
"We just need to know who the demon is possessing." Sam answered Faith's question. Faith nodded her head and typed in the name of the man.
"Okay, Google says he's the CEO of a local company. They're having a black tie event tomorrow night at his mansion, so that might be the best time to go get him." Faith informed the brothers after a few quiet minutes.
"And you found out all of that in less than five minutes?" Dean asked, bewildered.
"Uh, yeah. Technology isn't that confusing." Faith chuckled as she powered down the computer and handed it back to Sam. Sam had a smirk on his face; he was glad he wasn't the only tech-savvy person now.
"So this black tie event, do we have to wear tuxedos?" Dean questioned, a frown on his face as he used the rear view mirror to look at Faith.
"Of course you do. It also means I have to wear a dress." Faith smiled, excited to get dressed up. She always loved dressing fancy, especially since she never got to do it much.
"Well, looks like we'll be making a pit stop in town to buy some clothes for the event." Sam sighed. Neither of the brothers seemed too thrilled to have to wear fancy clothes.
"Is Castiel coming with us?" Faith asked.
"That depends on if he isn't busy with things up in Heaven." Dean shrugged. The rest of the drive was silent. When they pulled into the parking lot of the first motel in the yellow pages, Faith was bouncing with anticipation of getting out of the car. Before Dean had even put the car in park, Faith had the back door open and was standing outside in the parking lot.
"Holy hell, I forgot how awful it is to be the passenger." she laughed as the brothers got out of the car. Faith continued to stretch her legs with Sam while Dean went to check them in.
"Alright, room 39 is ours." Dean tells the others as he walks back into the parking lot a few minutes later.
"Great! I'll walk there. I can't be in that car a minute longer." Faith smiled at the boys before she started walking down the sidewalk next to the motel. The boys shook their heads before they got back in the car and drove a couple hundred feet to the parking space for their room. Faith joined them just as Sam unlocked the door.
"I call this bed." Faith announced before she flopped onto the bed farthest from the door.
"Fine, I'll take this one and Dean can take the couch." Sam smirked at his brother.
"Why can't you sleep on the couch?" Dean whined as he set his bags down on the floor by the table.
"Because I already called the bed." Sam retorted, his arms crossed over his chest. Faith decided now was a good time to go out to the car and bring her bags in. She slipped out while the brothers continued to fight over their sleeping arrangements. When she walked back in with her bag in her hand, the two brothers were sitting in an awkward silence.
"Alright, well, before you two start another fight, I saw a Macy's in town and I think it would be a good idea for us to go get clothes for the event tomorrow." Faith suggested. The boys shrugged and joined Faith at the door. Dean twirled the car keys in his hand as he waited for Sam to lock the motel room door.
"You get to sit in the backseat." Dean informed him before he turned around and strutted to the car. Sam just rolled his eyes and did as his other brother told him while Faith shook her head in disbelief. She never thought they would be this childish.
When she was seated in the passenger seat next to Dean, he started the car and pulled out of the parking spot before he got on the road. He then asked Faith where she saw the Macy's. She told him where it was before the car fell into another awkward silence.
"Okay, do you two always fight like this?" Faith spoke up, breaking the silence.
"Not usually. But now that you're here, you messed up the sleeping arrangements." Sam answered her question.
"Oh, well then I'm fine with sleeping on the couch so you two don't fight." Faith gave in.
"No, no. You keep the bed. I'll be fine on the couch." Dean refused with a small smile on his face.
"Really, it's not a problem." Faith argued. Dean shot her a stern look before he spoke up again.
"No, I will sleep on the couch and you will sleep on the bed. Final decision."
"Fine, have it your way." Faith chuckled as Dean pulled into a parking spot at Macy's.
"Alright, meet back here in an hour. Ready, set, go."

It took Faith nearly the entire hour before she found the perfect dress and heels. With her dress bag and shoe box in hand, she nearly ran out to the car so the boys wouldn't leave without her.
"Alright, let's have a look." Dean motioned towards the bag as soon as she was within hearing range.
"That would defeat the purpose of a surprise, Dean." Faith rolled her eyes as she set her dress and shoes in the trunk of a car alongside the boys' tuxedos.
"Oh, c'mon. That's no fair." Dean whined as they got back in the car. Faith angled her body towards Dean as he drove and gave him a 'are you really pulling that card?' look. Dean caught her look out of the corner of his eye and cracked a smile.
"Okay, are you two giving each other the sex-eye? Because if so, I'd like a different hotel room." Sam interjected, a look of horror stretched across his face at the thought.
"Ew, Sam! Why would we be doing that?" Faith complained. Dean just snorted and continued to drive, his eyes still on the road.
"Well, you can't blame me! I couldn't see what you two were doing up there!" Sam raised his hands in defense. Faith just groaned and rolled her eyes. This would be an interesting couple of days, that's for sure.
