"Forever and always?" I asked, pulling Joji closer to me. He looked so handsome in the morning sun. "Forever and always." He said, and kissed my head.
Beep. Beep. Beep. Ow. Where was I? I opened my eyes to a whimper. I peaked around. I was in a hospital room, it was all white and bland. I felt warmth and pressure. I looked down and saw Joji, he was crumpled onto my lap. He clutched the dress I wore out to dinner and was sobbing quietly. "Oh, y/n. I'm so sorry. I never should have stared at you for that long. It was so hard, though. You looked so beautiful that night. You always do." He mumbled to himself. I bit my lip to keep in a chuckle. "Man, I was so tired too, and..." His voice faded. Another sob. "God, I'm so, so sorry." He clutched the dress tighter, whimpering some more. "I forgive you." I said in a whisper. I pulled Joji's face to look at me. His eyes were wide with shock and were puffy and red. "Y/n! I thought I was gonna lose you!" He cried. He wrapped his arms around me and squeezed. "Ow." I moaned. He jumped off of me. "Oh, sorry. That couldn't have felt good." He mumbled and chuckled awkwardly. "What happened?" I asked, rubbing my head. Joji sighed and sat on the edge of the bed. "We were talking, and I looked over at you. You were so..." His voice trails off. "Gorgeous." He says, a small smile spreads across his face. I blush and smile. "I guess I looked a bit too long because when I looked back...a truck was headed straight for us. Thank god we had our seat belts on, we would have died. He was drunk, the driver." I looked at myself as Joji continued. "What happened to me?" I asked. "You were asleep for a bit, a concussion turned into sleeping for a long time." He said. He scanned my face. "Also, you hit your head and now you have stitches." I reach up and touch my bandaged head. "Ugh. When can I leave?" I groan. I take Joji's hand in mine and run my fingers over his smooth skin. "The doctors said you could leave when you woke up, you just have some paper work to do." Joji explained. "Oh, and by the way, Max and Ian are coming out to see you. He will be here in like ten minutes." Joji said. I raised an eyebrow. "Max came back so fast? And for me?" Joji raised his eyebrows. "Y/n, you've been asleep for a week!" Joji exclaimed. I sat back, looking up at the ceiling. "Max landed last night. He was so jet lagged he just crashed." I shook my head and cover my face with my hands. "God, I must be so gross." I say. Joji laughs and pulls my hands from my face. "You're still pretty though." Joji smiled. I laughed and shook my head again. "You are so cheesy." I say between giggles. We talk some more until Max and Ian arrive. Max busts thought the door and jumps on me. I laugh and groan at the same time. "Easy there, maxipad!" I exclaim. I let out a cough and Max jumps up. "Oh, I'm sorry! God did I miss you!" He says. He plunges in for a gentler hug. God I did miss him like hell. It's only been a little more than a week and it felt like eternity. I decided then Max was just like family. The brother I've never had. "When Max got off of me I managed to stand up and waddle to the front desk. Me and my doctor talked. I signed paperwork, payed bills, and finally got a shower. I changed into a pink tee shirt and some cut offs and I'm out. I glance over at Joji now and then. Since Max took his car over, him and Ian took it back. It was just me and Joji. We held hands and acted like a couple, but we both new he was waiting for the perfect moment. We hadn't kissed yet, but I knew when it happened, it would be amazing. I got bored and pulled out my phone. I saw so many Twitter and Instagram tweets, wondering if I was ok or if anything happened. I tweeted quickly and jumped over to Instagram. I waited until we were at a stoplight and I got out the camera and held it up high. "Smile!" I say, obviously including Joji in the shot. He turns his head quickly and stares out the window like his life depends on it. I sigh and take the picture anyways. Putting the caption 'I'm fine, with this loser' and posts it. I put my phone away as Joji continues driving. I grabbed his hand and squeezed it. "Joji?" I ask. He looks at me and then back at the road, like he's scared to look for too long. I don't blame him. "Yeah?" He says after a while. I look down at my feet. "Uh...." I forget what I was gonna say. I laughed a little bit and sighed. "What?" Joji says again. I can here the tension in his voice. "I uh..." He furrows his brow. "I forgot what I was gonna....say." I manage. Why was he so mad all of the sudden? He pulled into the parking lot. Home sweet home. I couldn't wait to dance around and take showers and snuggle with Joji. I stepped out of the car and onto the sidewalk. I stared up at the comforting building. Just then, I heard the car engine start and Joji pulls away. "Hey!" I called, I waved my arms and jumped up and down. "What the hell?" I yelled. I watched Joji pull away. I stared into his window, there drives Joji. And he was...crying? I rubbed my face and stepped inside the house, wanting to die.
