((OK were all gonna play make believe and pretend that Tom Cruise is missing an eye from here on out for stories sake. My editing skills aren't that good.)

Soda.
It was starting to get really dark outside by this point, and I figured he was taking me to a drive in.

I was surprised when we left town limits, once we hit the highway he turned the radio up and sped up significantly. There Is A Light That Never Goes Out by the Smiths was blasting from the speakers.

It wasn't long until he turned onto a dark dirt road, he slowed down as if to be careful not to hit anything that could potentially jump out at us. I stared out the window trying to figure out where we were going. Steve made his car roll to a stop and I immediately looked around. "No, we're not here. I just didn't wanna hurt them." I looked out the windshield to see a mother possum and three babies attempting attempting to cross the dirt path.

I smirked up at him and whispered. "You're such a softie." He raised a brow at me and let his voice drop a few octaves, "your point?" I mentally took note of how he watched them, he even smiled a little.

When they passed he took off again, and it wasn't long before he pulled over in the middle of nowhere. He opened my door for me and held his hand out to me. "it's just a short walk from here." I took his hand, and got out of the car. "Steve, I can't see a damn thing! it's so dark-" He was gently tugging me along through tall grass, and the occasional fallen tree. "Five more minutes, think you can make it? Or should i carry you?" He stopped and turned to look at me, smirking. I gave him a good shove and we carried on.

Steve.

I wanted to see his reaction, I really did. One day I ended up stumbling across this place while trying to clear my head. Catholic school is vicious, sometimes you just need a special place.

I moved out of his way revealing my special place, I watched his face as he saw the lake. He looked so calm, he eyed the sky, mesmerized. "What are you doing?" He had removed his shoes and socks.

Sodapop was beautiful. He was the quirkiest person I'd ever met, but man did he know how to live. I wish I could watch him forever, I never want him to leave my side. If only I could tell him.

"Quit starin' and get in here!"

You bet your ass I went in after him.

((Sorry this took so long. I'm struggling to move the plot where I want it and my life irl is so busy right now.. I hope you all can forgive me.))
