Me and Mukti came home and went straight to the bedroom and dozed off, Under the warm blankets.
------
I felt a cold hand wrap around my waist and rested on my tummy inside my tee. Oh! I know this touch. My Manik is back! I shift back in his warm embrace. He kisses my hair. "How are you felling now?" He asked politely, in the sweetest tone ever heard by mankind. Oh! I love this man! I just hmmed. "Chalo, get up. Have some food. I'm hungry too..." he said in my ear. Food!!! The word alarming in my head I woke up in a swift move and sat up with a jump. Mukti who was sleeping on the other side moaned irritated in sleep. "Shit, I didn't cook anything." I said keeping my voice low.

"It's ok. I have taken care of everything. You just freshen up and come to the dinner table, and yes get this idiot along too." He said and we looked at Mukti, and smiled.

I freshened up and literally pulled Mukti to the washroom. It's impossible to wake her up once she kissed the bed. She has the ability to sleep and wake up in next century. I walked outside, wile Mukti sleep walked. Manik was arranging plates. "Manik, you don't need to do this alone." I rushed to him to help, but he held my shoulders and made me sit on the dining chair. "Rest. You do it everyday. Me doing it once a month won't make me loose kilos. So, it's your holiday today." He said and pecked my head. Oh! I love this man...

I sat back and saw Manik plate the table. "Why so many plates? We are just 3" I said as he placed dishes filling my complete 8 seater dining table. "A few guests on their way!" He said gleefully, while my forehead creased in curiosity.

I saw my man doing all the work while Mukti sat beside me trying new snap chat filters, from being a dog and licking her screen to being a zombie cum vampire with smugged eyeliner and a weird shade of animated lipstick... god knows what pleasure she gets in doing this!

The door bell rang, but before I could get up Manik went in and opened the door. It was Cabir followed by Abhimanyu with a flowers . I was surprised, while Mukti was something u call astonished. I stood up and greeted them with a brief hug. Abhimanyu walked to Mukti and pecked her lips said,"congratulations, for the interview." And passed her the beautiful lilies. "The interview only went well... I am not sure if I am through or not yet..." Mukti spoke plainly. Oh! How can I forget, she is Mukti, only she could spoil such a moment. We All shook our heads helplessly and laughed.

"Where are the other two?" Manik asked Cabir and I figured out they might be talking about Dhruv and Alya. "Just about to reach." We were a close circle now. First it was all boys and only Alya was the girl but eventually me and Mukti too came in and the girls too became the part of the circle. Cabir has a girlfriend named Naaz, she couldn't make it tonight. Dhruv and Alya came in a while and we had a good gala time after a long while. Late night everyone left. When I told Manik about the fainting situation he was a bit pissed off for not telling him but ended in a cuddling bed session.
------

Next day Manik dropped me to college and went for office himself. I was seeing the bulletin board in the lobby when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I saw the reflection in the glass of the notice board. It was Mr. Khurrana. How do I ignore him?? I asked my self, but the good girl in me said he helped you yesterday Nandani, this is not how you behave with kind people, this is not how your mother raised you. I turned around and smiled (a fake one:trust me) "Mr. Khurrana, how are you?" He also smiled. Ooo-kaay may be tried to smile and nothing in the world can deny the fact that he sucks at smiling- genuinely smiling.

"I am fine, how is your health now? Don't you think you should rest? If it's the interview you are here for I am sure they can be managed." He said with his hands in his well ironed pants. And I wanted to say to Mr. Perfect pants, no one on the earth will manage interviews according to my health.
