Chapter 1: Introduction

My name is Jhin, and I just graduated from university last year. I have been dreaming to be a scientist ever since I was a little boy, and here I am now, an assistant working for a real scientist! Sure, I'm not quite there yet but, it takes time, I have a lot more to learn before I become an actual scientist. I guess you can say that I am a scientist in training?

Well, I am not the only scientist in training here. There are 3 more people in the lab that are targeting to become scientists, all of them being my childhood friends. Ever since we were little children, all of us shared the same ambition. Allow me to introduce them.

You know how theres those types of people who dont study for the exams but gets a high mark anyway? Bob Willington is that type of guy, he's outgoing, friendly, and very silly. But despite that, he's actually pretty smart. He's 24 He wears big nerdy glasses, has cool hair and doesnt look like a nerd at all! He's not buff or anything, but he can get the ladies (A/N: Bob is a savage LMAO)

Cynthia Walkers, 24 years old and a sweet girl, she is. (A/N: Jhin is secretly Yoda from starwars) She likes reading and writing books. She's friendly and can make you smile anyday! She wears glasses and likes wearing flat shoes, heels are definitely not her thing. Believe me, one time, she fell on some of our paperwork and test tubes. It did not end well. ;;

Kelly Roner, 25 years old. She's one of those hipsters. I dont mean the ones who only eat organic stuff and all that, I mean like, you know, camera, beanie, stuff like that. She loves drawing ever since she was a little kid, she also likes reading and experimenting on a lot of stuff.

I dont think I have to introduce myself, right? I kinda did earlier. Well, my name is Jhin Tyler. I'm 25 years old and loves experimenting and inventing things.

Now, with that out of the way, I have to make my way to the laboratory. I went in my car and drove to the laboratory. I parked my car, grabbed my things and went in. I settled my bags on my working desk and speed walked my way to one of the rooms where my childhood friends were.

"Jhin! You're finally here!" Bob smiled as he held one of the sample solar panels we would be using to test the maximum amount of solar energy it could absorb.

"Sorry I'm late." I said as I sat next to Kelly.

Kelly wore her usual beanie again and was typing some things in her laptop while eating chips. Cynthia was helping Bob set up the solar panels. Her glasses slid off her nose a bit but both her hands were occupied so she could not readjust them herself.

"Darn, can someone help me adjust my glasses for a bit? I'm practically blind without them."

"I'll help." Bob said as he pulled one of his arms away from the panel and used it to adjust Cynthia's glasses.

"Thanks Bob!" Cynthia gave one of her smiles again. Kelly pressed the 'enter' button on her laptop and popped one more chip into her mouth.

"I'm done with the technological stuff. We're all set to go."

I cracked my fingers and started to head out into the backyard, where it was sunny, together with my friends.

"Now, as we all know, we have been working on this experiment for a month now, correct?"

All the scientists in the room nodded and listened again as he carried on his talk.

"Well, it is almost done. We can show it to the world very soon. All we have to do now, is to input some data onto the human AI." He takes out a microchip and smirked. "This tiny little chip, holds a gigantic memory. It has the ability to hold many commands we use for the human AI. For now, there are only a few things I have input inside this chip and today, we are going to test them."

Finally, their hard work is starting to pay off! It's almost done! Well, aside the fact that they had to make like a bunch of these things for the whole entire world..

The other head scientist went to get the body human AI and placed it carefully onto a chair. It was naked and had a bunch of marks on its body and they connected a few wires to her back. After one of the scientist inserted the chip, the marks on her body started to glow neon green. It started to make sounds and flinching a little. The other scientists had to admit that they were a little scared but they couldn't deny that it was really cool as well.

Once the sounds stopped, she lifted her head and looked at them.

"Hello." she said.

All of the scientists gasped in surprised and jumped gleefully. Their invention worked! It really worked! After that little celebration, the head scientist asked "What is your name?"

"My..name...is..L..yn..x.." She was bugging a little bit but that wasnt a problem, besides, they knew that they weren't quite finished yet. The scientist nodded and held his chin with his finger. "Hello Lynx. What can you do?" he asked another question.

"An..y..thing..you--you..w..ant."

The scientist nodded once more and told her to do some of the things he had input into her chip. A lot of the things he told her to do was working well except she was bugging a little. But when he told her his last task for her, she stopped and started to glitch out. She kept moving side to side and blurted out gibberish. She was breaking down and they panicked.

"It was going so well, what is going on?!"

Then, she stopped. They looked at her and tried turning her off, but instead of closing down, the green neon marks turned to red, so did her eyes.

"Elimination mode activate."
