Chapter 4: Splitting Up

The four assistants pulled the trigger of the hand guns they took from the safe and tried to shoot LYNX but it was futile, the bullets bounced off her body. Jhin could hear Bob curse under his breath as he loaded the gun.

"Do you guys have brains? If I could die to bullets, that'd be waaaaaay too easy. I was built with maaaaaany functions just so you know."

LYNX went over to one of the scientists who was crawling away from the scene and grabbed her by her hair. The scientist tried to scream but before she could, LYNX slit her throat.

"No!"

Cynthia screamed and tried to run towards the scientist but Kelly grabbed her by the arm before she could and shook her head.

"Are you trying to kill yourself?"

Cynthia opened her mouth as if to say something but after she saw Kelly's serious expression, she quickly withdrew what she was about to say. Bob placed his hand on Cynthia's shoulder and Jhin sighed out of relieve.

"Awwwwww, what a heartwarming friendship scene but I'm started to feel awkward and getting bored."

LYNX pointed her machine gun at the four.

"Can I kill you all now?"

The four held their breaths.

"We need a plan, we'll get ourselves killed if we don't have one." Jhin took a short glance at LYNX and within that small time frame, she waved while grinning creepily. The other three gulped.

"Why don't we split up? Kelly and Jhin will search the lab to find something that can defeat her while Cynthia and I distract her. How does that sound?"

The rest thought hard about Bob's plan. The distraction from the two would certainly buy the other two time but who knows what else LYNX has up on her... Body...

As if on cue, the four could hear the whirring of a chainsaw.

The two providing distraction would die in an instant after one small mistake.

"I can't wait anymoooooore... I wanna cut someone down and hear people scream."

Bob signaled the other two and they nodded. Once they were out of sight, the two took a deep breath and looked directly into LYNX's eyes. It was as if her bloodshot eyes could see through them. They instantly felt weak on their knees but they stood strong.

"H-hey LYNX" Bob cursed himself for stuttering.

"What happened to the other scientists? Don't tell me you killed the other scientists other than the ones here."

LYNX dropped the body she was holding on the ground and started walking towards the dark haired brunette and the chocolate brown side ponied girl. They walked backwards as she came closer.

"Oh, I dunno. Maybe? I know for sure that the director and the heads are still alive. All except my creator that is."

The two gave a a confused look.

"Y'know, Ke- hey, where did the other two go? Ah well, I guess I'll hunt them down later. Anyway, as I was saying, I killed my creator, Kelly's boss."
