Chapter 3: Joining In

"Looks like we have 4 more people joining in"

The 4 amateur scientists froze as they saw LYNX. "Wh-what?" Jhin stood in shock, along with the other 3. LYNX walked a few inches closer to them, as she does so, they slowly backed away.

Terrified, Cynthia screams as loud as she could. Her heartbeat was beating fast, her eyes opened wide and her body trembling like a cat who got out of water. Kelly grabbed Cynthia's hand and held it tightly which caused Cynthia to calm down a little. But the scream that Cynthia made, triggered LYNX. She wanted to hear more. She activated a machine gun installed in her arms. It was fully loaded.

She triggered the gun and went crazy with it, laughing hysterically like a mad person, she aimed everywhere and bullets flew everywhere. The bullets went through the body of the other scientists which left holes in their bodies. Blood came gushing out like a fountain. A bullet shot a scientist in the head, his skull broke, revealing his brains. Another bullet came and blew the brain to bits. Kelly, Cynthia, Bob and Jhin hid in a big safe that was used to keep inventions safe. The door was bulletproof so it was a good idea hiding in there.

Screams were heard behind the door. Women and Men were being killed and all they could do was sit in that safe. LYNX laughed and it sent shivers down their spine. It wasnt a laugh a normal human has. It was all static-like.

Jhin gritted his teeth, "DAMMIT!" he exclaims. Cynthia calms him down while Bob and Kelly looked around, trying to find something they could use on LYNX. Suddenly, it grew quiet behind the door where LYNX was. Quiet enough that they could hear water dripping down and touching the ground. It was nerve-wracking. Kelly then found some weapons that might help out. "Guys, come get one," she whispered.

They each grabbed a gun and put on some safety gears that were in the safe.

"Ready?" says Jhin.

They nodded.

"Let's go."
