"The door won't open..."

Cynthia kept leaning towards the iris scanner but the door the lead into the lab didn't budge. She gave up and sat next to Kelly, feeling defeated.

"You didn't break the door, did you?" Bob teased.

"Rude!" Cynthia crossed her arms and glared at the male. Jhin went to the door and placed his eye close to the iris scanner but the door didn't budge again. He threw a questioning look at the door before sitting on the ground again. Kelly continued to type on her laptop, saying that she wanted to submit her report as soon as possible before moving to the next stage of the project the next day.

"How can we get in?" Jhin scratched his head and Bob groaned. It was getting hotter and hotter by the day and they were already sweating. All of them took off their lab coats and embraced the coolness of not being suffocated by the heat wearing a long sleeved coat.

Cynthia started walking around to see if the other entrances were working but groaned when they were in the same state as the one in the backyard. She even screamed at the voice recognition device till her throat was dry.

"Jesus, you don't have to scream 'I love blueberry chocolates!' so much okay? We already know." Bob groaned while covering his ears when Cynthia came back, the latter pouting at him.

"I have an idea." Kelly took a chip from the bag and started typing at a rapid speed. The three looked at the woman in awe as they weren't an expert with computer science.

"Hacking?"

"Sort of." Kelly replied and Bob's lips formed an 'o'.

"I have access to certain security systems of the lab. My boss gave me permission."

The three shivered at the mention of 'boss' from Kelly's lips. They nicknamed him 'Crazy Glasses Man' whenever they weren't around Kelly. Apparently the projector of the meeting room was created by him as well as many of the security devices but he never fails to creep them out whenever he grins and laughs after having a great idea for a new project.

"Why didn't you do this earlier again?" Bob eyed her suspiciously and she shrugged it off.

"I was doing my report, and besides, my lappy is running low on batteries. It'll take awhile before we get in though."

Jhin started fiddling the grass on the floor and sighed.

"Beautiful."

"Has the power supply been cut off?"

"Yes sir."

The bespectacled scientist sighed and looked around his surroundings. There was smoke everywhere and the other scientists were laying on the ground, coughing due to the smoke around them. When they tried shutting down the power supply in attempt to force LYNX to turn off completely, sparks flew all over the place and everyone had to get down.

The scientist sighed and stood up, adjusting his spectacles once more. The place was wrecked. They would have to spend quite an amount of money to fix the place. The directer walked over to the scientist and he gulped.

"I'm sorry for what happened sir."

"It's alright, mistakes are always made."

He clenched his teeth when the director was a distance away from him. Of all times, why fail now? He scanned the room and saw one of the lower ranked scientist and went over to her.
