"Sam!" Dean screamed at the younger Winchester. There were millions of small demon cockroaches attacking the former Egyptian professor. The beetles were quickly devouring his flesh and gnawing on his white bones. Not a drop of blood or a stip of meat was left on his exoskeleton. Sam was inches away trying to get the blue talisman hanging above the swarm. Just one wrong move, a slip on a paper, step taken too hesitantly would end in him looking like the poor professor.
"Shut up Dean!" He whispered carefully trying to not get the bug's attention. There was only one way to stop this 'plague' from becoming an apocalypse. That being, to destroy the cursed object and send the demons back to hell. Or wherever the bastards came from.
Almost there, Sam thought to himself as he reached for the blue necklace hanging from the ceiling. Dean was racing about throwing salt at the little buggers as they nipped at his heels. Climbing a bookshelf that was older than their grandmother was probably not such a good idea for the moose.
One more step, and crack. The rotting wood finally collapsed as he, ancient scrolls and dusty books crashed to the floor. Luckily Sam ended up breaking the bright blue gem and all the little beetles disappeared in a black smoke.
"Thank God!" Dean sighed and all the tension in his muscles vanished. "After you broke that damn shelf, I thought for sure you were demon chow."
Sam stood up, his legs wobbly and the rest of his body shaken up from the unexpected fall. "Yeah, me too." They collected specific paperwork the dear professor left behind as well as other 'magic' substances. It was to make sure no one found out how to summon Egyptian Beetle Demons ever again. This was already one too many times for the two Winchesters.
They exited the building, Sam grabbed a bar of chocolate at the vending machine on the way out. He'd never admit it, but it was for Gabriel, his best friend.
Dean leaned back on his baby. "You know where I wanna go next?"
Sam raised his eyebrows, "If it's the next diner, I'm all up for some grub."
"No, I meant travel. I want see London." Dean grinned from ear to ear just thinking about all the places he wanted to see. There was the 9 ¾ platform and most importantly, he wanted to meet the Sherlock Holmes.
"You know that involves riding a plane?" Dean's face fell into that mixed of fear and horror but lit back up when an idea occurred to him.
"We'll take a ship."
Sam rolled his eyes and sighed. This brother of his was being ridiculous, again. "Why do you want to go to England?"
"I don't know Sammy. Maybe 'cause I want to take a break from hunting." Sam's eyebrows furrowed increasing the wrinkles on his forehead. His nose scrunched up giving Dean his signature bitch face.
"Alright what did Cas say?"
Dean suddenly found the dirt beneath his feet more interesting than this conversation. "He didn't say anything!"
"Fine. I'll just ask Cas myself."
Dean looked up in surprise, "Wait!"
"Castiel!" Sam paced around the Impala. "Cas!!!" Dean let out the breath he was unconsciously holding and smirked as no angel appeared.
"Give it up Sammy. Cas isn't coming."
"You called?" Dean jumped as the blue eyed angel appeared behind him.
"Get out of my ass CAS!" Sam was on the ground dying from his brother's expression. Castiel looked at the two brothers and tilted his head to the side like a lost puppy dog.
Sam tried to catch his breath, "Hey Cas." He snickered some more, "Why does Dean suddenly want to go to England?"
"That's because..."
"Woah!" Dean covered the angel's mouth with his hand, "Hold on there cowboy."
Castiel pushed Dean's hand away, "I am not a cowboy."
"It's just an expression Cas." Dean sighed, "Besides, what's wrong with going to England?" He waved his arms around frantically as Castiel and Sam watched. "I mean, these last few weeks we've been hunting nonstop. Can we just have a short break?"
"But you're not going there for a break."
Dean glared at Castiel as Sam crossed his arms and looked at his brother sternly. "Well?"
Castiel glances at Dean who just mumbles a few words and leans back on his Impala. "Might as tell him. Cat's already out."
"Heaven ordered me to check out a presence in London."
"A presence?"
"Yes."
"Is that all?"
"They want the Winchester boys to go along as well."
Sam shrugged, "Okay. Just give us some time to pack our stuff and get a plane."
"There is no need." Castiel stepped forward and tapped Sam's forehead. Sam disappeared leaving Dean shocked.
"Cas! Where'd you send my brother?" Dean shouted angrily at the angel.
Castiel took a step towards Dean, "You'll know when you get there."
"Wait I'm not leaving my baby..." Castiel tapped Dean before he could finish. The angel stood in the parking lot alone next to the Impala.
