This wasn’t how she pictured it.

Cold.

Empty.

No, this isn’t what Jean had in mind at all.

So now you’re regretting it?

“Shut up Gabriel.” Jean muttered massaging her temple. Ever since her powers were fully awakened, she couldn’t seem to keep the headaches away. And the voices.

The voices were the most annoying. Especially Gabriel’s. That day, when Gabriel and Castiel tried to lock her away, Jean had absorbed Gabriel completely and taken Castiel’s grace.

Which is what she had in her hand, a small jar filled with a blue, wispy light. Castiel’s grace. It was useless to her. But instead of destroying it or throwing it away, Jean kept it. Was it a keepsake? Or just an reminder for herself? Jean didn’t know why she kept it but she couldn’t bring herself to throw it away.

Most days Jean just didn’t care for much. She didn’t go hunting for the hunters or other angels. Though some angels did try attacking her, now they lay on the ground scattered like flower petals. Pretty, but dead.

It’s been what, three weeks since the first rising. Three weeks ago since her last massacre. Her body thirst for blood. Hellloooooo? Earth to Jean?

Jean rolled her eyes and tried to block the archangel out. “Jean Lilith-Mallory Star! What are you doing on the roof?” A middle-aged woman yelled up at her with her arms crossed.

“Just getting some air!” Jean jumped onto the balcony and swung down. “What’s the matter Hilda?”

Hilda sighed, “It’s Dorothea. She’s getting another fever.”

Not again! Jean grit her teeth, it’s been that way for the past three weeks. That is, ever since she gotten to this safe haven. It was pretty well built considering how quickly the virus spread.

It was based off one of the rich neighborhoods so it was surrounded by a 4 meter concrete wall with sturdy gates. The Crots couldn’t come through. Occasionally, supplies would be dropped by an helicopter. Other than that, there was nothing special about this place. This would be her third kill.

Until Dorothea was born. The moment that girl was born, Jean could feel a dormant power sleeping inside of her. Just waiting to awaken.

Of course with her powers, Jean could have easily wiped out the settlement and taken the girl back to Lucifer. But she wanted to see the child’s growth for herself.

“Where is she?”

Hilda pointed over to the medical facility, “In there. Room 67.”

“Thanks Hilda.” Without a second glance, Jean sprinted towards the building.

“Who are you?” Becky carefully observed the red-haired girl in front of her. Well, Becky said girl but there probably was about a 10 year age gap.

Sam looked pretty happy to see her, “Becky, meet Charlie. Charlie, this is Becky.”

Charlie smiled even wider which Becky thought was pretty crazy. “Oh so you’re Becky? I heard so much about you. How’d you manage to drug Sam?”

“Woah what?” A bit taken aback, Becky had a confused look on her face and turned to Sam for an explanation.

Sam coughed into his hand, “Um wrong Becky. This is the girl from England.”

“Oh you’re that Becky.” Charlie pulled Becky into a tightening hug and then released her.

Taking a staggering step back, Becky grabbed onto the ledge of the table. This girl was way too energetic. “Nice to meet you too?” The end of her sentence came out a bit high making it sound like Becky was asking a question.

“Sorry we’re just here for some equipment.” Dean smiled apologetically and squeezed past his brother and Becky over to a chest in the back of the room.

“What for?”

Dean shrugged, “It’s Cas. He wants us to bring all our equipment.”

Charlie grabbed a bag and opened the chest. It was all the Winchesters’ equipment they usually kept in the back of their car.

“What happened to the Impala?” Becky asked harmlessly.

At her question, Dean looked a bit shook. “Charlie I’ll meet you outside.” He said before moving quickly past them.

“Did I say something wrong?”

“No, it’s just… the Impala attracted too many Crots so we left her outside.” Sam said rubbing his neck. “It’s still a sore subject for him.”

“Ah…”

Charlie slammed the chest shut and grabbed the bag, “You two should come along. Whatever Cas has to tell us, it seems pretty important.”

What’s Cas gotta tell us? Becky wondered, guess she should find out. This tour was getting boring anyway. It wasn’t that she didn’t enjoy the time with Sam, it was just… She never was the one for long lectures. Or anything for the fact.

“We’ll be right out.” Sam gave Charlie a smile with his arm blocking Becky’s path.

Charlie laughed, “Don’t take too long.”

“Can you move?” Her words came out harsher than expected surprising even herself.

Sam stared at her, “Becky, I think you should…”

“If you’re about to tell me that I can’t hear whatever Cas has got to say, you can shove it up your ass.” Becky snapped. She wasn’t about to get the child treatment. Not then, not now, not ever.

Shocked at Becky’s words, Sam took a step back. “Fine. But don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

Rolling her eyes at Sam’s motherly-like words, Becky stormed out of the cabin. Sam followed quietly and locked the door.

“Let’s go see what Cas has to say.”
