But then, one day in my second year of study, something unexpected and dreadful happened to me. I was on my way back from my lecture when the sun was scorching hot. I could feel my skin was burning due to the hot rays. All I ever wanted was to just arrive faster and get into my parked car since I was feeling so hot and tired of carrying bundle of books and assignments. Suddenly, I bumped into someone when I was searching for my car keys. We both lost balance and tripped on the tar. All my books and assignment papers were flown everywhere. I rubbed some dust off my hands before trying to help myself up. I felt a sharp pain at my hip and I just realised that there's a small cut at the palm of my hand, maybe because the rough and rocky surface of the tar, possible of creating scratches and cuts.
Surprisingly, I looked around and saw no signs of the person who had just bumped into me. If I wasn't mistaken, the silhouette I saw before I got distracted of trying to find my keys was a guy wearing a black hoodie sweater. I couldn't see much of his face as he was trying to cover himself from being discovered. Or at least, I thought it was like that. Again, ignoring my suspicions towards the person, I kept carry on rummaging my bag for the keys before being bumped into. I was really scared at the same time seeing that no one showed up when I was trying to say sorry for being careless and bumped into him. I did feel angry because he wasn't even trying to help me pick up all my assignment papers and books that was scattered everywhere. I was quite stupid to even have the thought that he might help me tidy all my things up. How naïve I was at that time.
I was left dazzled by my car. All I saw was only numbers of cars and no one was present. Then, who was the guy I just bumped into? Why didn't I noticed him when he left? How could a person ran away immediately after colliding with somebody without apologising or even trying to help tidy my things up? So irresponsible! I searched around for the guy but it was up to no avail. At last, I decided to take no notice of the strange incident that had just taken place and quickly gathered all my things before putting it all in my car and drove off out of the place.
