As if by chance, I heard a knock on my door. It was him. Why was he there, at my house at 4 am?
"Hi," I said shortly after opening the door. "I couldn't sleep," he started, not bothering to greet me, "I couldn't stop think about you." I nodded my head, as if to agree. Without saying anything more, I stepped aside to let him in. I got drinks for the two of us and sat on the couch, a small distance away from him. It was silent for a moment, slightly sickening, if you ask me.
He stood up without warning and walked over to the rack of CDs across the room. He picked one out and placed it in the CD player. The room filled with music within seconds. He turned around, now facing me. "Care for a dance?" It was absolutely cliché but I didn't mind. He grabbed my hand and pulled me up close to him. We danced and danced until the music died out and we were left there, out of breath.
We sat back down, exhausted, and talked quietly. It was as if we had known each other for years, the way we spoke of our lives and laughed together so loudly. I felt so calm in his company. I couldn't seem to explain how he made me feel, but it was a feeling like no other.
It was nearly 6 in the morning and I knew he would've been too tired to walk back home. So, I let him spend the night. He slept in the guest bedroom, across the hall from my own. For the first time in a long while, I slept peacefully.
i don't have much to say this time, oh well. this chapter is kinda lame in my opinion but it is what it is.
