Chapter 12

Cam's POV

As Kaden closed the door to the secret compartment in his closet my eyes instantly adjusted I noticed there was a passageway. As I followed down the tunnel I came to a two way split. I chose left as I imagined it would be closer to my moms house. As I followed the passageway up some stairs to what looked like a cellar door I opened the door which lead outside were a car waited. I looked all around the car searching for keys to the car once I finally found them I sat in the drivers seat with hopes of Kaden following shortly behind I refused to leave him behind....

I sat in the car for as long as I could stand it (maybe 10mins). I put the keys back inbetween the visor and I went back through the tunnel and on the way back as I paused and leaned against the wall to steady my breathing I heard a click and the wall opened up as I stepped back revealing everything from machete-like knives as well as hand-helds and a few guns with silencers. Woah.  Grabbed a knife I could see myself easily using if it was necessary. And after a quick pause the smallest gun with a silencer and two clips. God I hope I don't have to use a gun because I've never shot one but maybe Kaden could use it.

As I crawled back to the underground entrance/exit to the bedroom I stopped to slow my breathing because these were supernatural beings we're talking about they can hear my heartbeat so I gotta be as quiet as I can or my surprise attack plan would lose the sole purpose of it being a sneak attack. 

I walk past a body with a decapitated head as I creep out of the secret wall tunnel and slowly round the corner to the hall I hear Kaden's voice ring out in pain. I freeze for a moment. After he stops yelling out I continue to move.

I get to the end of the hallway and very slowly turner the corner to the sound of kaden yelling out again.

I see two guys. Both thankfully with their backs to me. One has his fingers pressed hard into Kaden's temples that are covered in sweat and blood. And the other man was watching the first. If I'd had to guess the one watching had to be in charge. So I make plan to creep up on this guy.

"Just give us the answers we want and we'll end the pain for you," boss man said.

"Fuck off, your both dead when I get out of these chains" Kaden spat.

"Give me the girl! I wonder why she's so important to Alpha Rayden?" he mumbled to himself after asking a question.

"Where is she now?" He yelled.

"Might as well kill me, because you will never get answers from me" Kaden said smiling before the guy touching his temples proceeded to did his nails deeper into him hurting him again. Kaden began what could only be described as panting.

I creep up right behind him in the one in charge until I  was right behind him.

I imagined my fangs extending, once I felt them extend I jumped on his back and pressed the knife blade against his throat hard enough to draw a little blood.

"Don't move or your as good as dead," I try saying in an authoritative voice.

The guy beside Kaden whose back im on freezes and the man torturing Kaden stops as well and turns to face me.

"You must be who we're looking for, although I don't sense much power coming from you must be a half-breed. Maybe they got it wrong but either way the boss wants you...."

I look over at Kaden who seems to be trying to still clear his head.

"Too bad for your boss."

The guy under my knife blade starts laughing," sweetie I hate to break it to you but you couldn't hurt a flee if you tried. I can tell you scared by the way the knife is wavering. You don't have what it takes to kill m-...." he starts to say reaching to grab the hand with the knife before I slit his throat and his body sags.

"Holy shit you little half-breed bitch," the other guy says as he puts his hand out towards me.

I don't feel anything but it seems the longer he keeps he hand stretched out the hotter my necklace becomes. He must be trying to attack me with magic of some sort. The necklace must be working.

"Dammit why the fuck isnt this working?" He says furrowing his brow into what seems to be deeper concentration.

I stare at him wondering if I should wait until he figures out whatever he's trying to accomplish isn't working before I try to grab Kaden whose still looks like he's trying to recover from his injuries or go to Kaden now since whatever this guy is trying to do isn't working and leave with kaden now???

I decide not to move since I killed his buddy he should leave soon since nothing's happening to me apparently. If he doesnt leave I'll have to kill him too to protect Kaden. Nothing will stop me from seeing my Mom and Dad and Kaden knows where and who they are. I cant let him die or I'll never know.

I pull out the gun to intimidate him. "Just leave, and I won't hurt you." I say, as I rub my neck with my other hand as I started to feel a burning sensation as it increasingly get warmer and warmer.

I wave off the uncomfortable feeling and focus on the other guy who is starting to sweat as his brow is still furrowed in concentration.

My necklace suddenly starts glowing and then starts flickering on and off before it went dull and the necklace broke.

The moment it broke I felt like I got hit with a wave of pain with the force of a semi truck throwing  my body backwards into the wall.

After that everything went dark....
