If I told you to destroy your dearest friend, you'd do it. If I told you to go steal from your mother for me, you'd do it. If I told you to hold a knife to your thoat, you'd do it. Why? How is it that I can tell you how you'll react, if you'd do it? The answer is simple. You have no will. You have to do what ever I say and you can not refuse. This is it. What it feels like to be in a world without will.
That's the world I will be living in. My name is Ender. I live behind the walls of Algaryon.
And someone took our magic away.I felt nothing but the shocking feeling in my nerves causing my body to twitch and shake uncontrollably. "Oun, Master Ender!" I could hear Spindle shout. My eyes were wide open, yet I couldn't see a thing. I couldn't focus. I couldn't concentrate..
"Ender... Wake up. Ender. Please." I could hear a faint smooth voice whispered to me. "Listen to my voice and open your eyes. Your fine now. You've be reborn." I forced myself to do so. Listening and focusing on the voice I slowly opened my eyes. It was the black haired woman kneeled beside me. I looked up to see Spindle's smiling face. I was laying in her lap. Her hands rested on each side of my face. "Welcome back! Welcome back!" Spindle said happily. She looked really concerned.
"What happened..?" My body had calmed down and I was now able to move. I sat up as the strange woman said, "Your magic is now restored and you can now use it at will whenever you'd like." I looked at her then down at my hand. Something similar to blue fires engulfed it. It didn't burn so it wasn't fire. Is this my magic? I looked back at her. "How do I use it?" She shrugged. "Only you know.." I stood up. I looked at myself then around. I took a deep breath and swung my arms away ftom my sides. With that, the entire landscape changed into something more beautiful.
The water turned into thick ice, yet it was not really that cold. It the sky, clouds became thinner and the moon bigger and brighter. The sky lit up. I could see the small little lights filling up the sky. The heart of the Tesseract Realm had changed all because of me. All around me was blue. I could feel it. This was the birthplace of my magic.
This is where I was born."Now.. You must return the magic to the rest of the worlds and connect the two. Your the only one who can do this. " The black haired woman walked away. Spindle stayed by my side as I too decided to walk back home, thinking of the woman's words the whole way.
I made my way back over the wall. I felt a faint pressure on my back, but it wasn't anything serious. It must be the enchantment on the wall doing this.
I climbed back into my room window and shut it. I got into the bed and laid down on my back staring up at the ceiling. "Tomorrow is the day I'm going to expose our village to the magic we so desperately try to avoid and are so fearful of. Tomorrow mother will know what I am truly capable of..." I paused. "But what am I capable of? I have magic but no idea how to use it.." I raised a hand to my head. My head was beginning to hurt. Tomorrow was the day things were going to change, but I have no idea if it's for better or worse.
It's a scary thought.
I did not sleep at all last night. I was too busy thinking to do so. So, I locked Bun-Bun in her room while she was asleep and began preparing for her celebration.
"Ender.." I turned my head to see my mother. "Oh, good morning mother!" I smiled. I had already begun cooking and was almost finished. My mother smiled back at me before giving a an observant look. "Is.. something the matter?" She walked up to me and grabbed my face, turning it to get better veiws of it. "Ender, why do you have such dark circles around your eyes? It's highly noticeable with such light blue eyes you have. Did you not sleep well last night? Were you up all night preparing?" I gently pulled back from my mother's delicate hands. I gave her a half hearted smile and said, "I slept. I guess it wasn't a good night rest though. I'll be fine." She looked at me for a moment before grabbing some bread. "Well, I am helping you. It looks to me you've done more than your share so after this, you are going to get more rest while I finish up here. Sounds good?" I nodded. Knowing my mother, I had no choice but to accept.Mother was working on making sweet carrot bread for Bun-Bun by the time I left the kitchen. As I was making my way back to my room, I ran into my twin brother. I waited for him to insult me or get physical, but he didn't do a single thing but state at me with.. disappointment in his eyes. He walked passed me and towards the kitchen. Was he that upset with me? He's done worse! I frown and continued making my way towards my room.
Mother was right. It was dark under my eyes. I didn't even feel that tired. Maybe it was a mixure of stress which I really have been lately.
I laid down on my bed. I can't sleep. I feel wide awake yet I do feel a bit tired. Yawning, I sat back up and looked out my window. It's hard to say or believe what happened last night was a dream when I haven't even him to sleep and I've gotten home at sunset. I want to say it's a dream or I'm still dreaming, but I know I'd be lying to myself."Why did you lock me in my room!?" I heard the loud words of Bun from her room. I couldn't help but laugh a little. At least we all know she's awake now.
A few hours later, I finally left my room. I still couldn't sleep so I spent my time planning what I was going to do to bring the magic back to my town without causing a panick and chaos. "Ender!" I heard my mother call me. Sitting up, I sighed deeply.
"Here goes nothing.."
