This is an A.U. where when someone draws on their skin, the same drawing will appear on their soulmate's skin. I take no credit for the original idea, just the story I write.

Smiling, I noticed the little lines appearing on my arm. I stopped typing the document I was working on for work and watched the unique little doodle appear, traveling all the way up my forearm and stopping at my elbow. These drawings were from my soulmate, wherever they were, and came at the same time everyday per my request. I smiled as they finished with their signature heart and initials at the bottom. I scribbled a quick thank you onto my other hand along with a small winky-face.

This was it, my favorite part of the day. When my soulmate made me fall more and more in love with them everyday, even though we had never really met. Going back to typing, I quickly finished up the document as my coworker, Janet, poked her head into my office. I turned around and smiled at her as she started speaking.

"Hey, Marie, do you want to go to that new coffee shop during our lunch break?" I nodded. "Cool. It's called The Daily Bean and it's on 6341 Five Mile. Meet me there at noon." I nodded again and she left my office. Grabbing a pen, I scribbled the address, name, and time onto my hand (the one without the doodle of course). I kept working until I saw that the clock said 11:30 and then I left. Asking my phone for quick directions, I arrived at 11:50. I decided to wait for Janet, and just sat down at an empty table. When noon came, the door opened. Looking up to see if it was Janet, I saw a girl with a pixie cut and dark blue hair walk in. I noticed the doodle going up her arm and quickly compared it to mine. I grabbed a pen out of my purse, doodled 'I see you' onto my arm, and smiled as she saw it. She scanned the room and we locked eyes. She smiled at me and crossed the room.

"I guess you're my soulmate then, huh?" I asked her. She shrugged.

"I guess so. And with someone as kind as you, I wouldn't have it any other way." I blushed as she said this. I picked my pen up from the table, and drew a little heart on her cheek. She giggled as it appeared on my face as well, and I laughed.

We stayed for lunch with Janet, who was very happy for us. After my lunch break was over, I wrote my address on her arm and told her when I would be home. I wanted this to last forever. I had found my soulmate and I planned on keeping her. I smiled as I walked out of the coffee shop. Today was a great day.
