Erin hung up her coat on the coat rack at the Ghostbusters headquarter. It was Monday Morning and Erin was excited to come back to work. She hadn't seen her girlfriend at all over the weekend because she was too busy working on the proton packs.
"Holtzmann?" Erin called out. No answer.
"She isn't here! She went to the hardware... whoa your hair!" Abby said as she walked out of one of the rooms. Over the weekend, feeling spontaneous, Erin decided to cut and dye her hair. She always wanted to cut her hair and bleach it, but she was too nervous and then she met holtzmann and didn't want to copy her, but she finally did it. She now had a blonde pixie cut.
"Holtz won't really be to-" Before Abby could finish her sentence, Holtzmann walked through the door holding a bag from the hardware store.
"Hey ba- holy shiiiiiiīt. Your hair! It's short! It's blonde!" Holtzmann quickly set the bag on a table and walked up to Erin.
"Do you like it?" Erin asked nervously.
"I. Uh. Well. It's different.... I'm gonna put these away..." She said grabbing the bag and walking backwards towards the stairs before running up them.
"Erin. I'm sorry I was-" Abby said putting her hand on Erin's arm.
"Don't apologize. It's fine." She said quietly.
"I was trying to tell you earlier that Holtzmann doesn't like change that much. She'll get used to it though! We had to move rooms a couple years ago at the college. Well the room was a lot different and smaller so Holtzmann was kinda freaked out, but she got over it. I gotta go pick up Kevin from his house. He lost his Metro card. I'll be back!" With that, Abby left.
"Erin!" Patty said walking down the stairs. "Your looks amazing! When did you do this?"
"Saturday. I needed a change. Plus that bright red color wasn't coming out of my hair."
"It looks dope. Do you know Holtzmann is acting all weird?"
"Yeah. She's weirded out by my hair..." Erin could feel tears stinging her eyes. She was always so worried about what people thought of her and to have her own Girlfriend not like the way her hair looks hurt her. She rubbed her face and smiled at Patty, who pulled her into a hug.
"She'll come around."
A few hours later, Erin decided to bring Holtzmann some food for lunch.
"Holtzy?"
"yep?"
"I brought you some food.." Holtzmann perked up from her work and walked over to Erin.
"What is it?"
"Pizza from the Pizza by the slice place down the street."
"Thanks babe. " She took the pizza and went back to where she was working.
"Holtz?"
"Yeah?"
"Can we talk?" Erin asked, taking a seat next to Holtzmann.
"Yeah."
"Can you look at me?"
"Sorry." She sat up and removed her goggles and rested them on her forehead. "What's up?"
"I just feel like you weren't very nice about my hair. Your approval meant a lot to me and it hurt me that someone who I love so much doesn't like it."
"I'm sorry Er-Bear. I don't like change."
"I know, but you were so scared by it."
"I'm sorry. It does looks nice though."
"Really?"
"Yeah you kinda of look like a sexy Ellen."
"Really?" Erin said unamused.
"I'm kidding. You look hot babe. I like it. I'm still not used to it, but I do like it."
"Thank you." Erin leaned over pulled Holtzmann into a hug.
"You do look really fuckìng hot." Holtzmann whispered seductively in Erin's ear. "Like the kind of 'I want to take you right here right now' ya know?"
"Then what are you gonna do about it?" She whispered back. Within two seconds, Holtzmann cleared off the table and hoisted Erin and then herself on top of it.
"This." Holtzmann said before starting to kiss down Erin's neck.
"Well, she got over it fast." Patty said as she stared in the doorway of Holtzmann's lab. She laughed to herself and then went back downstairs, shutting the door to give them some privacy.
