Chapter 18:
((Fay's Point of View))
"How about this one?" Cindy asks me holding up a bright red dress.
I shake my head. "That wouldn't look right on me. Maybe for you."
She sighs. "You have said no to every single dress in the last two stores."
"We've only been in two stores." I reminded her.
"My point exacty!" she cried out in frustration. "Just find something you like."
I roll my eyes. "I will. You look for you. I'm a big girl, I can find my own dress."
She then stomps off, annoyed with the fact that this isn't as fun as she thought it would be. I just don't like shopping for dresses that much. Sure, this is my first time, but to be honest I'd rather be home with Carter. Then I know I would feel safe.
As if on cue, my phone vibrates. I open it to see a text from Carter. A smile quickly grows on my face as he texts me if I wanted him to join us. I quickly said yes, knowing that he was most likely not far away. He hated not being near me as much as I hated him not being near.
When I look up from my phone I see a a beautiful beige dress. It had a black see through material over it, except for the beige sash that went along the waist. The dress went to my knees and was strapless. My skin tone went together with it wonderfully. My hair didn't look to blonde compaired to it either. It was perfect.
Two arms wrapped around my waist. "You should get that. It'll look amazing on you." Carter said as he rested his chin on top of my head. With each work I could feel his mouth move.
I leaned into him. "You think so?"
"I know so." he says, giving me a light squeeze.
"I see you found a dress AND Carter." Cindy says joining the group.
"What did you choose?" I ask her.
She shows me a pale lavendor dress that had a halter top to it as well as a flowing skirt bottom that rested at her knees. The top part of it where it would land in between her chest had several sparkles in it. She was going to look beautiful in it, especially if she curled her hair.
We went to the cash register to buy our purchases. Carter kept a firm grasp on me at all times.
"Going to a dance?" the cashier asked.
I nod. "A Valentine's dance. First dance I've ever been to."
"And you'll enjoy every minute of it." Carter said, smirking at me.
The cashier smiles. "Awwwww, you two are such a cute couple."
I blush deeply "Uh, we aren't-"
Carter cuts me off. "Thank you."
As we head out of the store I elbow him lightly in the chest. "Why did you emply to her that we were dating?"
"Would you rather have had her thought that I was just fucking you?" he asks. "'Cause my hand on you waist sure didn't emply that we were just friends."
I look down. "I guess us dating is a better explanation." I muttered.
He sighs. "I didn't meant to put it like that, Fay."
"Then what did you mean?"
((Carter's Point of View))
Right there I could have told her exactly what I felt. I chickened out though. I'm a wuss who has the biggest fear of rejection.
Instead I told her with a shrug, "I'm an ass who needs to think before he speaks."
"Whatever." she rolls her gorgeous eyes.
For now I would have to deal with not telling her the truth. Maybe I will tell her when she's ready. If she's ever ready.

Oh also another thing. I am deleting Living with Four Guys....HELP ME so that I could post another story "I Dare You" (Description below). I might repost it DIFFERENTLY in the future though if you guys really want me to.
Description for I Dare You in italic:
It all started with a dare that made Alissa Tretter and Noah Dobrev kiss.
Noah is your typical player of a jock. He doesn't want to settle down, no matter how hard his lawyer parents want him too. He's young and carefree. But when he falls, he falls hard. Noah isn't one to fall subject to heartbreak though, not without putting up a fight first.
Alissa wants to get out of the small town she lives in and be an actress. She has everything stylized her way- Revlon “Mon Cherry” nail color with matching lip gloss- to complement her dark brown hair and pale skin. She's pretty but an outcast.
Now after that one kiss they share at eleven at a friend's party has sent them into a tidal wave of emotions. All they can do is hang in for the ride. This one kiss is more trouble then they expected.
