Chapter 6 Awkward Moment

The troll village was on fire. The cause of that fire was a bergen. No one knew how did the bergen found them but they were about to.

By the time Poppy arrived at the troll village it was too late.

Poppy's POV

Fire is what I see. Smoke is all around the troll village. Every pod is burned with things inside it. I can't see much but I know that everyone is gone.

There are large footsteps that was created by a bergen.

"Hello!...Is there anyone in here!.." I said shouting.No one was left behind except me and Branch.

Who knew that if I wasn't throwing a party we were going to be found by a bergen. Who knew that a single moment can be ruined by anything...

But I least have Branch by my side. I turned around to look at him but he was gone. I looked at the ground sadly. He must have stayed behind or maybe he looked for other remaining trolls or maybe he left me here all alone...

Maybe being alone isn't so boring. So how did the fire started? I scanned around the area where most pods were made. I saw explosives scattered there. I figured that they were attacked by suprise.

I saw a used match still burning. I was confused, how would a bergen use a match so small that a troll can only use it... 

I gasped, there was a traitor among my people. That explains how a bergen found us. A troll told them where we lived . 

I remembered my dad. "Dad!..Dad where are you!..DAD!....." as I called him again and again still no answer.

Tears started to form around my eyes. Firstly my people were kidnapped second a troll was a traitor and third Branch is gone and Fourth my dad too was gone. 

I mean what could go wrong. I heard something rustling in the forest. 

" Wwwhh...who's...who's there?" I'm stuttering in fear but   I pretended that I was not afraid. " I'm not afraid of you..." I said shaking because anything could happen in this moment. I grabbed the nearest thing beside me or what's left of it because I heard the sound coming closer. 

"I'll use this...this stick...and I'm not afraid to use it" what was I thinking how could I hurt someone with a stick. A figure stepped in and I quickly charged with my eyes closed holded one of it's hand then pinned the figure and raised the stick's end.

 "Wait Poppy! it's me Branch!" I opened by eyes and saw Branch underneath me as he looked at me in fear then I realized the stick that I was holding was very sharp at the end and was directly straight into Branch's nose if he didn't stopped me.

"I'm...I'm sorry Branch...I thought...I thought you left me behind...I heard something coming towards me and I thought it was danger and grabbed the stick then turns out it was you." I said to him as I gently brought down the stick but still holding it.

"Poppy it's okay I understand that you only did it because you were afraid....but why did you thought that I left you here all alone when you could be in danger?.." he said softly. I looked at him sadly " Because I figured you didn't want to be involved in my problems and wouldn't help me because you couldn't stand them..." I answered. 

"I couldn't stand them as much as you." he smiled I returned the smile too. I didn't know that silence can be that comforting.

"Umm...Poppy?.." Branch said breaking my thoughts. "Yes?" I said to him . He blushed deeply and pointed to our position. I almost forgot that I still didn't released him. I too blushed a deep pink because our position is very, very awkward. 

He was between my legs , I was holding his left hand and that he can't move without me off of him.

I quickly standed up and helped him up too. I turned around in another direction where my back is facing him. I hadn't stopped blushing furiously because I knew I would never forget this moment. I took a deep breath and looked towards him.

Branch's POV

When Poppy attacked me I was suprised because of her strength and the fact that she was above me. I pointed uncomfortably towards our position. I blushed until I knew there was almost no blood through my body and rushing towards my face. 

She helped up me and turned around. I too turned around because of sheer embarassment. Of all the trolls that existed, Poppy is what I never expected to be in that position.

I was a bit glad that no one ever saw this except me and Poppy or else they wouldn't let this go.

At the same time we turned around to face each other . On each other's faces were pink faint blushes . 

I broke the silence " What do you want to do now?" the blush from my face vanished instead appeared my usual sarcastic face.

Poppy looked at me, her blush still present " Let's go save everyone" she said determined. I nodded as we left for bergen town. We walked with each other side by side without muttering a word. Remembering the moment again and again.

Hello everyone, I just want you to know that I am available for suggestions. I am still thinking about writing another Branch and Poppy story but I decided I will first finish this story and proceed . I will not write spoilers only cliffhangers hehehehe. Oh I almost forgot that please help me with ideas. That's all bye.
