Chapter 11 Nervousness

Poppy's POV

I noticed Oak has midnight green eyes. He sat there with confusion on his face. No one said a thing until Iris snapped out of her thoughts as she walked.

"Oh sorry! I should help you stand up." she said as she pulled on Oak's arm gently and helped him stand up.

He almost lost his balance when Iris adjusted her grip as he standed up properly.

"Thanks" he muttered quietly, a blush softly present on his face. He tried hiding it from Iris but me and Branch can see it clearly. The blush subsided and Oak almost buckled up his leg. He has pain in his eyes and I noticed it.

The small yet painful gash on Oak's leg.

"You're hurt! Branch get the bandages and I will get the mushrooms." I said quickly as I looked around for small mushrooms. I use mushrooms when the troll kids get a wound. They munch it in their mouths so they will be distracted from the pain.

Branch found the bandages at the same time I found the mushrooms.

"Stay still and this is will be a little painful." Branch instructed Oak as he sat on the ground again with Iris beside him for comfort.

"Here, chew these. They will help you be distracted from the pain." I said as I gave him the mushrooms. He putted one on his mouth and he smiled. The mushrooms I picked are very yummy. 

"Thank you" Oak said as he munched the mushrooms but I can see he is still feeling the pain.

"There, all done. Don't touch it because I won't fix it again." Branch said grumpily as he stored the bandages on his backpack.

"Thank you for helping me." Oak said but Branch shrugged it off.

"Well we'll be on our way and you should too of course." Branch said as he went into one direction.

"But Branch! He's hurt and he couldn't survive by himself!" I said then Branch abruptly stopped.

"So?" he said as he looked at me very annoyed.

"I don't think we can trust him by the looks on his face." he said as he eyed Oak. Oak responded with a nervous gulp and Iris rolling her eyes.

"He is a child and he is one of Iris' friends. If we can trust Iris we can trust Oak." I said as me and Iris helped Oak stand up.

"Don't overreact Branch. He doesn't look like he can hurt you. We're about the same height." Iris said as she motioned herself and Oak.

"No" Branch showed a smug smile as he continued to walk but abruptly stopped.

I grew confused.

"What's wrong?" I said as he didn't look at me but he looked like he was frozen in place.

"I don't know which way Bergen town is..." Branch said softly.

"Pmmnnph" Iris stopped herself as she smirked and I too smirked. We looked at each other seriously while Oak looked at us like we have a third arm. Then we bursted to laughter.

"Hahahaha! The troll who knows everything but he...hahahaha...doesn't know which way is Bergen town." I said as I snickered.

Iris had tears in her eyes as she laughed.

Branch turned around and had his usual sarcastic face. 

"Laugh all you want. I bet none of you knows where Bergen town is." Branch said as me and Iris stopped laughing.

I don't know where Bergen town is but I doubt that Iris knows where it is.

"Actually...I know where it is." Oak said nervously as we all set our gazes at him.

"I...I.I can help you ff..find it if you want." he stuttered as me and Iris smiled at him.

I looked at Branch's shocked face. 

"Fine! we will let you be with us-" Iris happily shouted as she skipped happily around Oak then at Branch.

"But...no singing." Branch looked at us sternly.

We all walked and Iris happily skipped. 

"Like I would do that." she whispered playfully at Oak who had a scared face. Branch being the paranoid survalist have sensitive ears.

"I heard that." he said while turning his back on us. Iris stuck her tongue out on Branch as we continued walking. It's noon and I hope that the trolls are still alive...

I know that this will be a great adventure with a grey troll, two troll kids, and a whole lot of dangers in the forest.

But I'm glad that I have company.

I don't know what Oak's personality will be and I'm sure he is nervous around Branch.
