3:15 to 3:40

I sneak around the hallways to the 274th locker. I get to the lock and turn the nob to the right two numbers so the little arrow is on the number 53. I pull on the lock and it pops of. I open it up to the mess. I shuffle through the unknown folders, binders, and books. They all had the same name sprawled out on the front.

Kyle Mortan

I began my search for the one thing that will reveal his dirty little secret.

Man, I may live with white girls but that doesn't mean I need to act like them. I look at the bottom of the locker and find that it was pulled a bit loose. "Hey, dude found anything?" I turn around to face Jake. Jake Fisher. He was my best friend since grade school. "I think so." I turn back to the locker and began to pull at the sheet of metal. It comes loose and I find the exact thing I was looking for.

I pull out the gun ammo and place it in my bag. I sling it over my shoulder and go to the corner Jake is at. His riffled dirty blond hair that spiked in the front was the same way it always was. he combed his fingers through his hair and and turned for me to see his dazzling emerald eyes that 'wowed all the ladies' as he so specifically stated. He smiles walks down the hall the rest off the way to me. "So found anything?"

"yea." I signal my head behind me and he nods. We head to the gym feeling all great and like we saved the day. Kyle had threatened to shoot up the school because of something that happened to his sister. I tried to explain to him that it was a accident. He never understood. He looked at it as something different. A mistake. He thought her decision was the right thing to do. Well, no, his decision. Luckily she changed her mind last second, and he didn't like that.

Her friend, Jake, and I tried to convince her to do the opposite, she didn't listened to her brother.  I love her choice but, he threatened me from seeing the opposite. He told me to not make her feel bad about the choice. If I did he would make my life horrible. With coming to the school to shoot everyone I care about and beating me up with the lockers. Luckily a kid filmed it and he was expelled. But a year later, he came back. He was the same age as us so he had to see the counselor for college ideas. He showed up and everyone looked at him like he was evil and would whip out a 44 magnum revolver from his bag. His locker was never filled so he went straight to it and put his bag in. But his shoulder hide what he really did. Put a gun and ammo in it. He had saw me watching. He most likely knew I knew what he was doing.

And here I am, carrying away the danger of many lives. Right when we were half way to the gym, the noise went off. A gun. Jake and I look from the rest of the hall to each other. We start running to the gym, so many questions go through my mind. We took the ammo, how would he be able to shoot a gun without bullets. I know he could go out and buy some but that would take all day and he was with the counselor. How could he attack even with all the teachers around? Why did they even allow him into the school again if he threatened to kill people in the school and everyone in his way? How did they not even notice the gun when he was quite suspicious? I guess they still hope to see the good in him they see in Kayla.

Another question pops in mind every time a bullet goes off. I flinch at each. When we finally reach the gym which felt like hours but according to my watch it was only, five minutes. About ten shots had happened already. Principal Carter and assistant Principal Darner and Taylor were in the corner of gym along with the rest of the teachers. There were some students but only because they had wounds. The teachers tried to help. Ms. Penny helped Jane and Austin with a wound to Jane's shoulder and Austin's chest. Ms. Penny had been caught in the hand because she had a piece of the gym coach's shirt, Coach Dane. He was ripping up his shirt as hidden as he could not removing his eyes from Kyle. He was moving the gun around like it was nothing. Not something that just injured five teachers, the principal, a assistant principal, and three students.

I scan the room for the familiar face. I look around where his main focus is on. He walks over to a spot by the bleachers and throws the girl on the ground. I recognize her as the gossip girl that I would wish to shut up. Now, I hope she does because she may get on my nerves but she is the girl I love's best friend. Emilia Nowlin. He then goes over and throws her other best friend on the ground. Jamie Beckett. They appear to beg to him. He yells at them pointing the gun at them and turning it for emphasize. Like saying, "I will shoot you if you don't tell me what I am asking for." They shake their heads and begin to cry more. They must of caught on. But he does the most shocking thing I would expect. He moves the gun back where they were sitting and they crawl over to the bleachers holding each other tight.

He began waving the gun around again. I then I see a kid I recognize from my biology class, Nathan Noets,  make a break for the bathroom. He almost made it, but the bullet made its target before he did. He fell to the ground and I knew he was dead. I stared at him hoping he would move. Kyle had turned around so he couldn't see the bathroom to notice the door slowly open. Someone was inside. And that someone was Kayla.
