A Month Later
Tuesday December 15
I walked into the school. Nope I wasn't doing this today. I didn't want to. I went to turn around to walk out of the school but I forgot my brother was standing there and he stopped me and turned me back around. He gave me a little shove to get me going and I started walking before I did actually get my butt ran over by anyone. I walked to where the gym lobby was and stood there for when it was time to get onto the tech bus. My brother was standing right beside me and he kept looking at me.
"Have you heard anything from anyone from your team lately?" he asked me and I shook my head. He just nodded his head and turned back around the other way. I wish someone just anyone from my hockey team would contact me back. I have been trying to talk to them but I guess I just need to be patient. They have school and I have school. I just wish that I could hear from Dean or Fulton. I miss those two goons. I missed Dean more. I tried contacting him multiple times but I don't want to push it too much just so he doesn't get annoyed with me and not talk to me at all. I thought at least Julie or Connie would talk to me, but nothing from either one of them. I guess it doesn't matter anymore. I felt something vibrating in my pocket and I just let it be there. It went off again and I knew that I had a text message. I grabbed my phone out of my back pocket to see who it was that would text me this early in the morning.
Chars: Hey I am going to be in P.A. this weekend, I want to meet up with you and Goldberg. I'm sorry I haven't been able to message you at anytime soon. I have been busy with school. I really am sorry.
I smiled at that.
T: Sounds like a plan to me. I have nothing to do this weekend either, at least I don't think I do. Just let me know when and where and I will be there. I missed you guys so much. It's okay Chars. I haven't really heard anything from anyone.
I put my phone back into my back pocket and kept that smile on my face. My brother looked at back over at me and smiled.
"Dean?" he asked me with a smile on his face and I shook my head. His smile seemed to fade after knowing that it wasn't Dean. Strange.
"No Charlie." I said and he nodded his head. He turned his head away again and kept looking out the doors. I just smiled and lightly shook my head and turned my way out the windows on the doors. I saw my friend Rolland walk out and I walked outside to catch up with him.
"Hey Rolly, wait up!" I said. He stopped and turned around to see me. When he noticed that it was me, he smiled, a big smile. I walked up to him and he still kept smiling. It made my heart melt. Wait, what was happening? I wasn't expecting that.
"Hey Tinsley." he said still smiling. It caused me to smile too. "How is your morning going so far?" he asked me and I looked down but back up at him.
"Well it's going a lot better than I had expected. What about yours?" I asked him and he smiled.
"Surprisingly, mine is going a lot better than I had expected too." he said, I smiled. Why did I smile? Was that suppose to have something to deal with me? How am I suppose to know if it did or not? We both walked onto the bus, he went to his seat and I went to mine. We both were still smiling and I honestly thought I couldn't stop smiling either. I was starting to get confused on what was going on and what my feelings are like now. Do I actually still like Dean or do I actually like Rolland or maybe both? I just don't know. I sat there quietly in my seat and the rest of Rolland's friends got on. They all went back to their seat. Rolland and I sat pretty far away from each other but I could still hear what they talked about back there. They don't even realize that either.
The bus started moving and I sat there by myself. It was nothing new. I usually sit there and listen to music but I just wasn't in the mood to. Ten minutes later, I couldn't help but to start overhearing a conversation that was going on in the back with Rolland and his friends.
